Nashna Posted November 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2019 No wonder they were not ready for visitors. Posted on another site on FB and taken today. 2
rkacruiser Posted November 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2019 Based on these photos, I want to disembark Meraviglia to visit this port? Why?
sfaaa Posted November 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2019 Nope, not ready unless you wear a hard hat, work boots and sign a liability waiver.
nednrom Posted November 10, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2019 Let's see how long it's going to take them to open it ...we're on the X-Mas cruise and I'm not sure it's going to open by then.
floridian1 Posted November 10, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2019 Wow...they need to be honest to paid guests and give a more accurate opening date.

Whoa don't be such a pessimistic negative nellie... just kidding. 100% agree with you. At this point many of us would appreciate a dose of truth and reality from the company. 1
Rare Captain-John Posted November 10, 2019 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2019 'Unforeseen operational reasons' (or something similar) was the phrase used when they notified the guests on Mera they wouldn't be docking. Unforeseen?! 😲 The compensation offer was fairly generous, but I have feeling that won't be repeated on all cruises until it's open, somehow. rkacruiser Posted November 11, 2019 #11 Share Posted November 11, 2019 If Ocean Cay is open, I will be pleased to make a visit to this new private island. I don't expect the YC section to be open; that's OK. Not sure that I would want to use that facility from what little I have read anyway. If Ocean Cay is not open, I will much more enjoy another day at sea, anyway. (Particularly, since I will need to find the time to pack for disembarkation the next morning in Miami.)
