Sharing of Onboard Credit

I am traveling with my family on Celebrity Edge coming up in February.  I booked 2 rooms - 1 for my kids & me and 1 for my parents.  I still have $400 of onboard credit left on my parent's room which they don't need - our booking came w/ all 4 perks and they are doing limited excursions.  Is it possible for me to use this $400 for the spa once we get onboard or is it tied to their names only for their room?  I wasn't sure if cruise lines allowed you to book the spa or an excursion for someone else on board and charge it back to a different room?  Hopefully that makes sense & thanks for any guidance!

The OBC is tied to the stateroom and the account associated with that stateroom.  It is not transferable between different staterooms or accounts. You could always try to have one of your parents book the spa time and then have you show up with them and have your parent approve the charge to their room and see if they would let you use the treatment instead.

Just home from a TA on the Silhouette and on the morning of disembarkation, I realized I still had some non-refundable OBC left on my account.  I had a friend on board who had outstanding charges, so the two of us went to Guest Services and I transferred my OBC to her account, no problem.  All I had to do is sign a form.  Talk to Guest Services.

I don't know about the spa specifically, but if you did excursions they would not check the name of the guests or stateroom once the vouchers are used.

Good to know - was not aware you could do that.

I wonder if every cruise line allows this, or only some.

They could also cash out in the casino.

OBC is generally all put on my daughters account when we travel together as she is usually the lead name in the booking.  We just go to pursers desk and request half be transferred to my account.  Never had any issues on a number of cruise lines.

Only time we had an issue was when we received a partial refund for very unsatisfactory shore excursion and this was put on her account only.  Attendant explained it could be done but would require a number of transactions ?  Told them to leave it and we sorted it out between us.

Wow, I learn something everyday.  I  did not realize this was possible.
