Trip Insurance

We booked a Spring 2020 cruise through the casino, but no one told me or asked if I wanted to add travel insurance. Final payment for our cruise is due in mid-December. Can I still add travel insurance? If for some reason we can’t go, would they just apply what we’ve spent as future cruise credit? Just want the peace of mind.

Check insuremytrip.com you can find insurance to meet your specific concerns.... There are conditions for covering preexisting conditions that vary by company. Generally it is best to get the insurance within about 2 weeks of initially booking your trip...but you can still get preexisting covered with some look back period... Each company's policies vary.  As we have gotten older... medical concerns us more than trip cancellation... have seen too many emergency medical evacuations at this point. I would check this site.. and then give them a call... they will help answer questions and send you a couple of options to consider.

You also might want to check with Steve at the tripinsurancestore. We've used them for several years now, and I wouldn't buy trip insurance from anyone else. I recently had to file a claim, for a cruise that I had to cancel. Steve and his staff walked me through the process, and I got every penny back, that I filed for!😎

Steve and his staff are great.  They ask a lot of questions to make sure you are getting the right policy for your needs.

Saquaremouth.com was also mentioned. I used them once. had to file a claim due to a medical issue a few days before we were supposed to leave for Europe.  THey were were great about sending out the claim forms but they were worthless after that.  No help at all when the insurer started stalling with lost forms, 3 and 4 requests for the same information, refusing to cover some of what I paid out.   It got really ugly in the end and I was one step from just turning it all over to our attorney.

You have waited too long for most independent policies to cover pre existing conditions. However Steve at tripinsurancestore.com offers one policy which covers pre existing conditions as long as policy is purchased by time of final payment date. I suggest you give them a call. Policy is  "CSA Freestyle." Much better than purchasing Celebrity's policy.
