Three Card Poker

While waiting for our February trip on the wonderful Explorer, I would like to try to calculate the odds of winning (I mean odds of losing) at three card poker in the Explorer casino. Would someone please be so kind as to post a photo of the three card poker table showing the payoffs?

There’s a casino on Explorer?   😉

Just kidding - I don’t have any pics since I don’t go to the casino, but if no one posts pics before the of 8th of January I’ll snap one and post it for you.

Bill,

Hope you're having a great time. I'd like to take you up on your offer to post a pic of the three card poker payoffs.

So Bill, how's your cruise?  I'm sure you're having a good time as aways.  Safe travels on the ship and on the way home.

If I remember correctly it is not a simple pass thru of the casino to photograph the 3 Card Poker Table.  My recollection is that the tables are two sided  with the Blackjack side most of the time facing up and only changed when a patron requests the change.  During the day or in port when the casino tables are closed the Blackjack side is up.

So for Bill to photograph the table with the odds, would require him to go in when the tables are open, and no players on one of the Blackjack tables and request the table be turned over.  Since Bill doesn't play, he would not know the poker side is face down and that he would need to request it be turned over when he was not planning on playing.

Hope he can photograph the Poker side but, not sure it will occur assuming my memory is correct.

They must have changed it since I sailed (2018) on Explorer.  There was a dedicated 3 card poker table with blackjack next to it.  If they changed it I'm really surprised as some evenings it was hard to get a seat.

Xerxes - sorry this is late; my phone died on the second day of the cruise.  It was an adjustment.  Anyhow, here’s what I found on the poker table - hope it’s what you’re looking for (I’m not a poker player so I have no idea what was what).

Sorry I did not play poker - but overall I thought the odds in the casino are very fair - 2X odds everywhere on the craps table - some really big paydays on our cruise - over $10k slot payout - I made a new friend at the crap table after dinner one night and over 5 nights we both had not only a great time but were rewarded well for our efforts  - I think Michael the casino manager on Explorer is a complete professional and manages his team and the games incredibly well - the blackjack tournament was a lot of fun - and over three days of Blackjack the ladies bested us gentlemen in two of the three events!

Bill, thanks so much for taking the time to post the odds. Evidently the Explorer casino payoffs are fairly standard. I have been working on simulations of this game. Unsurprisingly, I haven't found a strategy to beat the house yet. We'll be boarding the Explorer on Feb 11th, so I can test out my simulations, as they say, irl.

Glad it helped.  I hope you can at least break even - have a great cruise!

Do they still have Texas Hold'em tournaments as well as Black Jack tournaments?

Although I have not participated, Regent has posted several notices concerning both these tournaments on my current Explorer cruise.
