how long for status update?

How long after a cruise does it take for Holland to update your status and account details?

In the Mariner Society FAQ on the HAL website, they say that it takes 7 - 10 days.  Usually it takes only a few days. However, once or twice in recent years, it has taken as long as three weeks.

We usually get updated about 10 days after the cruise.

We left the Amsterdam(51 days) on Dec 18 and ours showed up a few days ago.

Ditto! We were updated 4 days after we disembarked.

Our latest was only days after the cruise ended.  Finally 5-star, yay!!

Exactly same here - 5 days to get our 5 Star update.

Thanks everyone.  This was my first HAL cruise.  I've been on NCL for years and made the switch and am extremely happy I did.  Loved the cruise.  The service is so much better on HAL, in my opinion.  Food is a much better quality but fewer venues.  We spent a small fortune in the casino and hit some hand pays so the casino hosts were constantly checking in on us,  Gave us a free dinner at the Pinnacle and sent over a bottle of wine.  The servers at the MDR, Lido, everywhere were just exceptional.

Overall, I can't wait to book another.

We're now 11 nights short of 4-Star.  About to board Volendam on a Grand Voyage (77-Day South America/Antarctica). 

 

We're wondering if, once we board, they will apply the qualified on-board spending credits right away and accelerate our 4-Star loyalty status.

In most cases the credits will not appear until after the cruise is over. Grand Voyages are the exception but it won't be spending credits but actual cruise days that HAL uses to determine your 4 star status. When that day arrives you will either get the new status then or at the end of the current segment.
