My daughter is a brides maid for a wedding on the Encore in May.    The wedding will NOT be on the ship it’s on a beach in Bermuda.
the bride and groom have besides clothing, tux, wedding gown have favors.  Is this policy very strict for an extra suitcases??

Where did you hear/read about an NCL two suitcase limit?

I've seen this before.  It's on NCL's web site, in the "Prepare for Your Cruise" section.  Here's what it says under luggage:

Quote

Bag Allowances

Each guest is allowed two pieces of checked luggage with a 50-pound maximum each, same as airlines. Luggage should be clearly labeled with your name, address and contact number.

https://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/prepare-for-your-cruise/what-to-pack

In all my years of reading this board, I've never, ever, heard of this being enforced.   (Is it possible no one has brought that much luggage aboard, hence no discussion of this? )  I have no personal experience with this, because we've never had more than one checked suitcase each.

My daughter has her docs and it only shows 2 luggage tags..

this I copied from NCL website...

If you log into the portal and try to download the documents there should also be a feature to download luggage tags.  Basically its an 8 1/2 by 11 or A4 paper form that you fold into a luggage tag.  Commonly used when you book to close to departure and they don't have time to mail out luggage tags.

I would just use the extra tags and call it a day.   At drop off the porters don't check the number of bags per passenger.

Something often overlooked....... you will have to store those extra suitcases in your cabin and sometimes it gets cramped. There's room under the bed but stewards don't always get under there to clean so be warned.

Odd that they would say 2 pieces of luggage and my wife and I just got 6 tags for the two of us????

I usually put 2 on each luggage on different handles on the off chance one of them gets ripped off in the process of getting to my cabin. Nothing stops you from printing out more though.

and one INSIDE the suitcase....... I guess that American Tourister gorilla commercial had a deeper impact on me than I thought. 😁

This is the best approach. We sail multiple times a year and always hav Le a tag on the top handle and side handle of each case. There have been a few times (not many) when one of these tags are missing when the bag gets to our room.
