Really? I can't find this anywhere.  I only see article after article after article, including interviews with the nurses' union, saying that they very much lack PPE.

Never said was a article, so why would you find it?

They interview anyone they can. Just because one nurse at one location said fine doesnt prove anything. I was responding to the post before mine. Similar, governor says something and ticker says different.

They are concentrating so much up around nyc most I bet dont know dallas becoming a hot spot.

Denton judge on now, 53 more cases. They got a govt run facility for disabled infected.

Dallas has lines of cars, with people with temperatures (only tested if you have a temperature here), and day after day running out of tests, so saying 78 more cases in dallas but we ran out of test kits. We have 2 lanes and need 10 dallas mayor says.

I believe some interviews but not others, how about you?

For instance last night they interviewed a doctor. Q can we get out and ride in our car, A no you might pick up new germs. .. some maybe, but I live alone, no one else drives my car, how could I pick up germs if I dont get out of the car riding around with the ac on?

If you believe everything said I got a bridge to sell.

Someone asked if masks do no good to keep out germs why do doctors and nurses wear them. Here we got grocery store cashiers working in them and gloves to protect themselves. They dont believe doctors saying they do no good.

My cancelled cruise date is april 26th.

I'm sorry you are upset, but really it does no good.

I hope you get it when it's now promised but if not what other choice but patience.

Maybe they will see that you called upset and do it sooner rather than later.

I finally talked to the gal late yesterday who they assigned me for bookings and they just got her online from home. She hasnt been able to work, she said there were some kinks getting her online from home. It could be workers at rcl dont have access to process you as fast as they expected?

Btw the booking I wanted to make with her .....the price went up while I was waiting so it cost me a few dollars more than when I first called and left a message.

Many are waiting, rcl is getting folks online from home as fast as they can I was told.

I don't need anyone to contact me the refund would suffice, Iet me be clear my "rant"as its been called is not a reflection on the people who are working under extreme  difficulties but more about how RC seem to be resourcing FCC and new bookings in preference to refund.

It seems to be a deliberate strategy  to keep hold of customers money for as long as possible.

Well that I dont doubt, just I dont consider it a conspiracy.. I do think all the cruise lines will hang onto your money as long as possible.

I'm sorry its upsetting, but other than calling on april 13th if you dont get it still, what else can you do?

I dont see anyone denying that cruiselines are taking a while on refunds, busy, whatever reasons, need cash so they dont go broke, seen various reasons, but no one is denying cruiselines taking a while, just your reason it's a conspiracy is what is getting the reaction.

I won't discredit your view but for me, my cruise was canceled for Apr 20. I'm ok letting the dust settle before I decide I want to rebook or get a refund. I get your point where RCI may want to sit on your money and maybe that is entirely true with the uncertainty that is happening to their business. As for me, could I use that money more than they at this time, sure maybe, but had my cruise taken place prior to the cancelations, that money is spent. The only difference is that in one case I went, in the other I didn't. Either case the money is spent. I am comfortable with them sitting on my money until things settle a bit because again, if I had sailed, that money is gone. I'm comfortable with being patient here as this is uncharted waters for all of us. Getting upset may only make me feel better for a bit. Best of luck in your situation and hope you remain healthy and able to make up this trip in the future. 🙂

Not that my troubles with spectrum should matter to you, but I dont usually get fox in the living room, so I watch cnn or stock news during the week, CBS local when it comes in. Spectrum says it has to be not working when they come to fix it, so I've given up.

CNN is my go to during hurricanes and disasters from my florida days.

I'm just tired of if I say someone said this on tv, meriom mom or someone asks for a link to tv spoken news, like I made up what they said., I probably listen to too much news, but I watch them all, mostly stock channels.

Gotta listen to all sides when its conflicting. Tonight ny governor is oh that 30k respiratory was not now, I got the ones sent in storage where they belong, we dont need them yet. Yes, I'm sure he said this.

I'm sure I'm not the only one looking at 4 walls stuck at home watching tv. Hoping this goes away, and the doctors note. I want to cruise. Cruising unites us, the virus seems to bring out the worst in us. Someone else commented how rants are up. I want my refund and I want it now variety mostly. Let's help each other and leave out the politics.

I dont want this virus to become like after the hurricane hit Puerto Rico and we sent supplies that sat in warehouses not distributed. Nothing to do with politics.

Everywhere seems to need beds and test kits, let's make them and get them to where they are needed and get thru this.

... so we can cruise and worry about chair hogs.

Perhaps the pres can go to the hospitals and throw them masks.  He used to be a great baseball player until an injury kept him out of Vietnam.  Showed he still had the strong arm throwing relief items in PR.

I have no idea who was at fault in Puerto Rico that stuff didnt get distributed

North dallas has really jumped into the mask business. I hope we get this solved and soon. We got everything from 3d equipment stamping them out to women sewing them at home.

I realize nyc is much larger and in more dire straits.

I was just stating the obvious more beds needed fast, like yesterday to put those respirators to use. Hopefully enough masks so they dont have to be reused. More test kits

This shouldnt be about politics. I heard encouraging news tonight about the malaria drug used, no deaths out of over 600 cases in nyc area. The virus is gone sooner with less time shedding it later. USA has a much lower death rate percentage.., let's keep it heading in the right direction so we can get back to our lives. I dont care how many want to attack me and make this political. I just want it over.

My cousins son lives in the middle of nyc. We all know someone close there and pulling for nyc.

You really need to stop watching CNN and stop repeating a bunch of wrong information yourself!

What is really annoying is the sycophantic RC loyalists that will excuse anything RC do so that the company and their personal loyalty status is protected.

Some people are in dire financial situations due to this virus also and to deliberately delay refunds to protect your cash flow is almost criminal.

If people are in such a dire need, maybe they shouldn't have booked a cruise in the first place.

I wondered who be the first one to say this, probably someone who still thinks cruising should be the preserve of the affluent.

Dont you realise the world has been tipped inside down by all this.

People have been made redundant, self employed have seen their income streams disappear overnight.

A typical selfish comment I would expect in the society we currently live in, no empathy for anyone but themselves.

Canceled my March 16th cruise on March 10th, just before RC shut down all cruises.  I called yesterday to check status of my refund of port fees, taxes and prepaid gratuities.  This cruise was comped through the casino department so that was all I had to pay.  They put me on hold.  Came back and said my refund was in process and should be arriving in the next few days.  I am sure they are overwhelmed, but the rep was very cordial, helpful and I felt, very sincere.  Just a timeline of my request and where it stands now. I will update when I receive my refund.  Have an August cruise booked and hope it goes as planned.  Good luck to everyone.

Yes I agree with most of this, I have been content for RC to get on with it until I received that condescending flippant email on the 26th, but there are people who cant manage without the refund and are in need of resources ether for themselves or family members.

If these cruises were going ahead then this whole conversation would be irrelevant, the virus wouldn't have happed and people wouldn't be in this position.

I just googled and found several articles of Governor Cuomo staring they have all the PPE they need right now, as well as a quote from a hospital administrator.

Since you reference 8000 pound sterling, I am assuming you are in the UK.  Did you book through Royal or a TA in the UK or did you book through Royal or a TA in the US?

If it is the latter then UK consumer protection laws do not apply.  If it is the former then as far as I know there is no definite timeline when they have to refund your money.  There are a finite amount of resource (employees) to process refunds.  They are not going to bring on a bunch of new employees just to get them over the hump.

So why did it when I purchased onboard packages - Its not just about what is legal in each country but more about is it morally correct to deliberately delay refunds.
