Correct. Most people leave the ship and head up the main street (if not going into Dunedin). Turn left after leaving the terminal building and it's a nice walk  down Back Beach road.

The bottom pic is looking down Mount Street heading back to the ship after getting off the train that went to Karitane IIRC.
