Has anyone received new room assignments after switch?

They gave me my room, but also say I owe a little over 1800 dollars more than what the brilliance cost was.  Guess I get to call them tomorrow.

Mine went from about $2500 to over $6000.  I called and they told me the updated corrected, price protected invoices would go out later this week.  The fare should be the same as my Brilliance original booking, but taxes and port fees will likely be slightly more due the different itinerary.  That's out of their control.  I did lose my aft balcony as that is a different category on Brilliance than on Indy. I'm not happy about that.

This is ridiculous. Now they’re telling me room re-assignments won’t be complete until mid-October, but today is still the last day I can get a full refund (non-refundable deposit). How does that make sense?

That's crazy.  😞

I thought I heard that they would not change the taxes and fees part but not sure.  Our cruise was paid off and I am sure others were also by the FCCs, casino comp, and such so they would be shocked to get another bill.

When you lift and shift fees and taxes are not protected, but this is different. But I'm not sure if fees and taxes would be protected. Even same itinerary mine went up.

Yes it can easily take a few days to get corrected invoice. Cruisefare for sure should be protected.

I have been trying to follow the threads re: all the Summer 2021 changes, but have yet to see anyone post that they have received their new confirmation/room assignment. The deadline to cancel for a full refund is tomorrow, which is when they claimed they would have the info to us (I was switched from Brilliance to Independence). Has anyone gotten their’s?

Had 2 of 7 as of today from Brilliance to Indy. One had been repriced to current/new bookings, 2.5 times what supposed be.

So, finally got my new cabin assignment. Of course, now they are telling me that ALL aft balconies on Independence are for 3-4 person capacity. So, with only two of us, we cannot get an aft balcony. Third one I have had to give up with all these changes.

Brilliance 9/12 now Jewel

I have not received new cabin assignment nor price.

RCL did cancel all my reservations and dining for the Brilliance 9/12 that the Jewel is replacing with same schedule and ports, same class if ship....why?

Brilliance 8/30 as the first part of B2B Miami to Boston.. cancelled.

Brilliance 11/7 Reposition Boston to Tampa... canceled.

Jewel. 7/3 and 7/15  Baltic and Great Britain...cancelled

What a mess in my opine, RCL you are not WOWing me lately, 10 cruises planned in 2021, now 5, I’m leaning toward 0.

Sorry about the rant, but...

Stay safe everybody.

Phil

27 Oct 2021 from Brilliance to Jewel (sister ships - same deck plans)

Overnight Monday reassignment was completed

Showed different cabin number

Dummy booking showed (and still does) all suites “Sold Out”

Called first thing Tuesday morning - Customer service answered on first ring. Surprised!!

Stated I was put in a different cabin from what I originally booked.

She switched me back to my original cabin number!

Reconfirmed dining time desired

Beds configured as a single bed

Dining for two

Where was a $193 price increase (current cruise fare will be price protected).

They’re aware there is an price increase in the fares. That’s supposed to be fixed this week.

We had 8864 on Brilliance, which is Ocean View Balcony obstructed view. We booked that due to the larger balcony. We were assigned OVB on the hump for the Indy ... We're not fans of being near the elevators, but having the expanded balcony w/o obstruction will be nice.

The price is wrong, but will keep our powder dry sense it seems that is a known glitch.

I am booked on the 5/8/21 Brilliance being moved to the Indy and I have not yet received the updated itinerary or cabin assignments for our 3 cabins.  I double-checked my email which said it would be complete by the 28th and decided to call for an update.  I was told that my booking still shows the Brilliance.  She said they are behind and will have it done by end of day today.  She said to call if I don't see the update by tomorrow.

This is very aggravating.  Why do they keep over-promising and under-delivering?  You would have thought they learned from the refund debacle this spring.  They should have just told us it would be completed by a date that was 2-3 weeks out and then get it done in 10 days.  We would have all been happy to get it done early - maybe not so happy with the result but at least with knowing earlier than we expected.

I had a B2B on the Brilliance in June/July 2021.  On Sunday, my July Brilliance was moved to the Indy.  On Monday, my June Brilliance was transferred to the Indy.  I had the same cabin for both Brilliance cruises, but Royal moved me to two different cabins on the Indy.  Called and was told that there were not any matching cabins left.  Told them that was not acceptable and was transferred to the redeployment desk.  They were able to put me in the same cabins for the two Indy cruises.  Asked them to send me new invoices.  My first cruise is $500 higher and my second cruise is $1,700 higher.  Time for another phone call.

UPDATE:  Spoke to Royal and they had to get the resolutions desk involved.  Resolutions advised that I would receive two new invoices in two days with my old Brilliance price.  I do not plan to hold my breath.

I still haven't received our new cabin assignments after being told I should get them by the end of the day yesterday.  She had said to call if I didn't so I decided to call.  Good thing I did because she said that our 3 reservations were no longer linked.  I had confirmed last Friday and yesterday that they were linked.  She said she thought they unlinked them because they were moving them.  She got the resolutions manager involved who put a note in our reservations that we should have the cabins together and she relinked the reservations.  I hope that will be enough.  She said that if I don't like the new cabin assignments I can call to get them reassigned, if there is availability.

She also said that it may be taking longer for ours because they have to get our FCC's in order.  We used FCC's we got from a previous cancelled cruise and we had used FCC's to book that cruise originally.  Then I called when the price dropped and it was enough to cover our balance with a remainder that was supposed to go on a new FCC after sailing.  She said to expect it to take until October 3rd to have the new cabins and the financials completed.  I guess those FCC's do complicate things.  I remember booking this cruise and it took the agent a while to get them all applied correctly - over an hour on the phone.  I imagine bookings like ours probably go to a special basket in the Redeployment office. 😊

I just Lifted & Shifted 2 cruises.  The switch on both was completed, including cabin numbers, in less than 24 hours.

I think we're discussing cabins assigned due to Royal redeployments Summer '21

We had Adventure in Baltics, and now we are on Jewel

We did a lift and switch for our oct 25, 2020 cruise a while back. We had the extra big balcony in central park. When we got our room assignment on for the 2021 cruise it was a regular room. Checked web site. And extra big balconies still available. Quick call to our TA and we were switched to a big one.
