Rare cr8tiv1 Posted May 9, 2021 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2021 I am vaccinated. I fly to Honolulu several times a year. Even though the restrictions are very stringent (Pre-travel covid testing and registration on Safe Travels app), I feel safer being on that plane for 5.5 hours than going elsewhere. Hawaii numbers are "high" for the islands (hovering around 100 cases), but most of the cases are due to localized socializing. Cautious, yes. But, it doesn't account for why this particular flight was all vaccinated. Hawaii has opened inter island travel to vaccinated travelers who received their shots IN Hawaii. But they are not allowed to "discriminate" trans-Pacific passengers and therefore can not admit just locals to by-pass restrictions when flying from the continent. My head just spins when I think about changes that happen daily. I've decided not to worry about. travel until my time nears.

From my understanding, this was a flight of all volunteers, to test the technology for checking vaccination status. 2

So if it's that airports are federal whereas ports are state controlled should that be changed?
