TNcruising02 Posted May 14, 2021 #9 Share Posted May 14, 2021 (edited) If MG isn't sailing until October, I hope Carnival will go ahead and cancel the August cruises. I would like to make other plans that week. Edited May 14, 2021 by TNcruising02
cruisingguy007 Posted May 14, 2021 #10 Share Posted May 14, 2021 It wouldn't surprise me in the least. It's within a reasonable time frame. I suspect that ship in particular will need more time than the rest due to its size and being a new ship with new crew etc. October is very reasonable all things considered.
stellarose Posted May 14, 2021 #11 Share Posted May 14, 2021 Not sailing until late winter..... so..... lets see.

Nothing is coming up cancelled on Carnival's site after 7/31/2021. If your TA seems optimistic, I'll stay that way, too.
Tnlynch81 Posted May 14, 2021 #15 Share Posted May 14, 2021 This also shows the Breeze as 7/1 whereas Carnival already announced the first date as the 14th... keeping fingers crossed
Rare Jamman54 Posted May 14, 2021 #16 Share Posted May 14, 2021 Take cruisemapper with a grain of salt. For instance, Carnival has announced that the Miracle would replace the Freedom on Alaska cruises beginning on July 27th through September 4th. With the bill in the House, there is a good possibility that these cruises can happen. This was not addressed in the Cruisemapper article. 😎
ProgRockCruiser Posted May 14, 2021 #17 Share Posted May 14, 2021 Everything else in their list is in date order except the Mardi Gras, listed as "Oct 2" but right before another ship listed as "Aug 2". So I'm gonna take that with a massive grain of salt for now. Seems like a typo more than anything.
boatseller Posted May 14, 2021 #18 Share Posted May 14, 2021 I'm booked for 2 Oct, hoping it's the eventual Inagural. With July scrubbed, I'm hoping August & September are as well since bookings are suspended. Sorry if you're booked then....:)

AnitaVacation Posted May 15, 2021 #23 Share Posted May 15, 2021 So, just now...I went to cruisemapper and copied this: CCL-Carnival Cruise Lines Coronavirus update CCL-Carnival Cruise Line suspended its fleet's passenger shipping operations by canceling all voyages with pre-scheduled departures in the period March 13, 2020, through June 30, 2021. TNcruising02 Posted May 15, 2021 #24 Share Posted May 15, 2021 So maybe it will be August 7th:Next are listed CCL-Carnival's first departure dates by ship/homeport in 2021 - MARDI GRAS (Aug 7/Port Canaveral/Maiden Voyage) And they need to change this:The 2020-built Mardi Gras ship's inaugural cruise (Caribbean from Port Canaveral) was rescheduled from April 24 to May 29, then June 5, July 3, Oct 2. AnitaVacation Posted May 15, 2021 #25 Share Posted May 15, 2021 So, the first paragraph says Mardi Gras Aug 7....but then the second paragraph says Oct 2....is it possible that they will have sailings before the official inauguration sailing?
