Florida_cruisers Posted July 1, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2021 (edited) I am thinking port side to see the most land/views, but want to double check. Edited July 1, 2021 by Florida_cruisers
Sunshine3601 Posted July 1, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2021 I agree I would do port side too. Nice itinerary! Is this an Anthem sailing?
neverbeenhere Posted July 1, 2021 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2021 When this question comes up, what matters is what time of the day are you cruising and where are you at. Personally, either side is fine, head up if you can’t see something you are interested in.

Which port does it go to first? There's no way to tell from looking at that diagram.
Florida_cruisers Posted July 1, 2021 Author #6 Share Posted July 1, 2021 Oh sorry. It goes from: Southampton > Cádiz > Malaga > Valencia > Palma de Mallorca > Valencia > Palma de Mallorca > Barcelona > Ibiza > Lisbon > Southampton.

Ashland Posted July 1, 2021 #8 Share Posted July 1, 2021 I base the side of the ship my cabin is on in relation to what I do (area of the ship I want to be closer to) onboard, not on possible land sightings or docking...actually we love the true afts when available. Enjoy your cruise !!
Rare Ozark_Kid Posted July 1, 2021 #9 Share Posted July 1, 2021 We were trying to figure this out for an Hawaiian cruise. We think we got it figured out but then realized we will probably not take advantage of it to much due to departure time from each port. Once we are back on and leaving a port we will most likely be getting ready for dinner or a show.

You really aren’t going to see land until you are coming into port. I’d go port side for the sail into Lisbon ( stunning), it will probably be very early in the morning as you go through the Straits into Gib, so ports side again and you usually dock facing the city in BCN so again port side. Nice itinerary… I hadn’t seen this one. Ibiza is beautiful! Edited July 1, 2021 by little britain
sgmn Posted July 1, 2021 #11 Share Posted July 1, 2021 Cruising out of Southampton is interesting with the Isle of Wight and coastline, but I would probably be on deck for sail away for that anyway
