So, they have removed the Poker table?  Hopefully temporary.  Perhaps they couldn't figure out how to install plexiglass dividers.  These tables seat up to 10 and if they only seated 5, wouldn't be able to sustain a game likely.  That's too bad.  I gather they are running BJ and other card games???

There was never one to remove. Remember how this ship was built for the Asian market?  Apparently poker isn’t a big thing in those countries. At least they have the draw poker machines now. They didn’t even have those when we were on the ship in October 2019. No bar in the casino either. It’s different. And yes there are the usual table games.

How far out were you able to select dining times on the app.We are 54 days out and still can not select our dining time.Have talked to Ocean Club ( after several hours on hold )several times .They still have our 2 b/b on 2 different ships still showing as one cruise. They either do not know how to fix it or just do not care.I am elite with over 100 cruise on Princess but apparently that counts for nothing.Getting really frustrated with this new app and Princess is doing nothing to correct the problems they are having with it

Azbirdmom, do they still have let it ride?  Althea Vegas casinos have swapped them out for Mississippi stud.  Hoping they still have it.

Are there any Elite passengers onboard this week who waited until you were on the ship to purchase the WiFi?  I know everyone "thought" it had to be purchased before boarding at full price ($10/day/person) and then get 50% back as OBC.  I'm wondering if they are allowing you to purchase it once onboard at $10/day for 1 device or $20/day for 4 devices)?  Or will they charge you the higher price (14.50/day/person?) once onboard and then get the 50% OBC credit?

Thanks for taking the time to answer this.

Thanks for asking - I can’t seem to find on the website or medallion app on how to purchase the WiFi for elite.

Does anyone know what the turn-around time is for laundry sent out as an Elite member?

I placed a laundry load in on a Friday morning and had it back by Saturday evening. Which is what the turnaround time has always been on all my cruises in the past.

Perhaps we can start a new thread with all things new with the dining and reservation system with Princess since covid.  It starts to take on it's own life on a Live From thread with pages on that subject which as everyone knows makes it more difficult for those who are sailing on the ship to come back as they have pages of to read through to get to a question for them!

No champagne waterfall?  and no candy on pillows?   Are they doing anything to replace items?  Guessing no drinks at shopping talks either?

Anyone have a list of beauty salon prices?   Thank you.  Mostly interested in men's haircut price.

Sorry for your troubles.  They have had issues with B2B voyages, but yours is technically not a B2B if two different ships.  Is your second sail date the same as the first disembark date?  I do know they will have to get those separated in order to make reservations successfully.  Suggest you call in and escalate to Customer Relations.

We already have a DMW sticky thread.

Purchasing internet will be coming (date unknown) to the MC App.  For now, you should visit the Internet Cafe on board if your question relates to being at sea.  If pre-cruise, call Princess and order over the phone.

It’s getting slower to upload pics.  I will still attempt to have menus and the Patter in my blog, but won’t upload in both places.

Just came from the naturalist’s second lecture on close encounters with Alaskan wildlife. I enjoy those so much. We had  breakfast in the buffet this morning so we would be able  to see any passing whales, and they did pass, on the opposite side of the ship. 😆 it’s great to have a naturalist on the bridge to Point then out.  Drinking a cappuccino in the IC and awaiting lunch in the dining room, which is starting early today, at 11am, before our arrival in Juneau.

We have plans to take the tram today, visibility permitting, and do some hiking on top of Mt. Roberts.

Still trying to track down a definitive answer on the Elite excursion rebate, refundable or not. Sorry, it seems to be a difficult concept, but, from what I can tell on our own statement, it is refundable. We had used all of our OBC on excursions and still show a refundable balance with no non-refundable.

I was told I’m probably doing something wrong when I order drinks and give my room number to the waiter, and that’s why charges keep showing up on my account. Bad, bad me!!

If your cruise is still enough time out, you can go to the Princess website, log in, go to your account, access your booking, and choose Onboard Services then Spa then Hair Salon.  You can then see the prices and if close enough, you can even book an appointment.

Fingers crossed things clear up, so you can enjoy the tram

Thanks so much. I remember when it was just one day but last time we did a TA, it was 2-3 days. If push comes to shove, I can always do me own laundry but what fun is that on a 1 week vacation!!

I'm not 100% sure how far out you can book. I do know that us elite guest get an instant open window from the moment we book our cruise and we can book dining immediately no matter how far out in advance the cruise is

So I've gone in to Medallion for my elite/suite cruise next year and it allows me to select the pace of dinner, time and location.  But it did not allow me to select a table size.  I guess because I was just in the app for my wife and myself.  We don't want a table for 2.  Any way around that or do I have to wait till I get on the ship to make a change?  And yes I know we're entitled to Club Class but we don't want that.

Good morning. The rain has arrived but as of last night the wind shifted and we were able to walk around the balcony easily without fear of being blown overboard. We arrive in Juneau at 12:45 and we are just going to wander on our own.

Last night we went to Crown Grill and it was very good but again different. They serve you bread and butter and don’t leave them on the table. Ditto the side dishes. Those were all served by the waiter. After dinner we went to see Carlos Oscar and we laughed loudly and frequently.

Off to see the Close Encounters with Wildlife presentation then back to the room to scout for more humpbacks. Have seen some already. The bridgecam channel has narration - that hasn’t changed.

I purposely waited to do it when I did because they have to have it delivered the night before embarkation.

I am going to bring up another Dining Room question.

On our very first Princess cruise in 2011 we were thrilled to see that we could select a dining option called Anytime Dining.  While we had enjoyed all our previous cruises where assigned time/assigned table was the norm, we were very excited about the opportunity to "make it up as we went along."  Since our first experience, Anytime Dining has been our choice in all our subsequent cruises.  Presumably, cruisers who prefer that choice can still get it by not making any pre-cruise reservations using the Dine My Way software.  Is there anybody on this cruise who can report their experiences when walking into the dining rooms without a reservation?  Also, I am not asking about Club Class.  I have seen multiple reports that the Club Class experience has been, pretty much, what was expected.
