Just don't eat with strangers 😇

No problem😈 DH and I intend to ask the Luminae host for a table that is not right next to other people. Hopefully, Luminae won’t be so packed that they can’t space diners throughout the rooms.

Does anyone know the range or time that trigger the tracer bracelets or is that confidential? May have to be extra antisocial on our cruise...

Thanks for all of the information!

We were told 15 minutes within 6 feet proximity triggered the tracelets.

On this cruise all but one suite are sold out and Luminae has never been close to full. When you are seated they are seating every other table first until it gets a little fuller.

how long were you confined? 48hrs?

crew members in contact with infected (but not themselves infected) are confined for 4days. 😮

27 hrs.  5:30 Wed afternoon until 8:30 Thusday evening.  My 3rd test is 5:00 PM tomorrow on Deck 14 forward, port side meeting rooms.  I'm sure that's when B2B and international pax will be tested, too.  I'm not either category.

We were told that 15 minutes is the guidelines the ship is using with the tracelets for being around a positive person. The secret is to not stay in one place more than 15 minutes.

By chance did they say also how close you had to be to that someone for that 15 minutes?

I received an email yesterday from a friend who has been following this thread.  She got off Friday when we got on and received a call Monday from X advising her she had been in "close contact" in the Martinin Bar so she took a test at home and was negative.   X is taking this pretty seriously, I'd say.  And obviously close contact isn't from the day before.  Must have been a B2B 2nd leg positive on our cruise for them to contact her 3 days after hers at home.

Or maybe the crew member that tested positive early in the cruise

We saw something earlier today that is scarry from a virus perspective. We walked by the Effy shop and they were holding a raffle of jewelry and there must have been 50 or more passengers crammed in the shop most not wearing a mask and absolutely no social distancing,  I see a potential super spreader and Celebrity should ban these activities considering the cases this week.

But they didn't call her roommate who was always seated next to her at the bar.

Curious.  This may also get into a compliance issue with the tracelet.  I wonder if her roommate always had the tracelet with him/her.  I was on the Equinox last week and often carried the tracelet in my pocket and no one ever asked me if I had the tracelet with me.

Her roommate  always had the tracelet with her. The group of passengers that she talked with at the Martini bar didn't receive a call either.

Would that give the eggs the odd texture that Terry and BeachMike described?

Yes.  A chuckle re 'liquid eggs':

A restaurant I frequent offers EggBeaters as an option, which is what I order.  New waitresses inevitably ask how I'd like them cooked.  I often will reply "sunny side up" if I have time to wait for the kitchen to reject the order!

What are they doing in the casinos?  Do they limit the amount of players at each table?  Also, not a smoker, but if a smoker is quarantined can they smoke on their balcony?  I am on this same cruise Nov 7 with a couple that the wife smokes is why I am asking.

Thinking "NO" on the smoking on balconies....for any reason.

We found out while in the Retreat Lounge that the current Covid outbreak was traced back to the Martini bar and that 4 bartenders are quarantined. Doesn't surprise me since there is no social distancing there during busy times.

Thinking of the those quarantined bartenders.  Hope they are negative and back to work quickly or do they have to leave the ship?    I feel bad that they will miss getting all those generous tips.  So sad.  We forget how much they add to our fun on board.

Close contact Crew members are quarantined 7 days even though they test negative

I know how it was on the Edge in that EVERY crew member as well as officers had to wear a mask above and below decks and were  not allowed to go ashore for at least the last month and probably longer. They also got an antigen test every week.

Is that the same protocols for the crew and officers on the Equinox?

So, the bartenders quarantine for seven days, after which they return to work, but passengers who quarantine and repeatedly test negative are barred from the next leg of their b2b? Some strange logic at work there. Btw I sure wish X would give their crew surgical masks! Cloth masks are better than nothing, but don’t protect them as well as surgical masks would.

Will they have to leave the ship?  If b2b folks that were close contacts can't do b2b then the same would apply to crew, right?????

Oops posted same time.

Crew is allowed to go on crew only excursions, normally a section of beach all for themselves

This feels like a case of 'be careful what you wish for...'.

Would you prefer that passengers were quarantined in their cabins for 7 days, then allowed to continue on a B2B if they had one...?

A strict 7 day quarantine with negative testing seems like a reasonable compromise to allow a return to work whereas passengers have a much lighter quarantine requirement but need to leave the ship just to be safe.

Nope.

No idea about the reasoning for no cost contact b2b pax even though they test negative

Ahh.. That could be it.

24hrs for pax, 7 days for crew

I've noticed a whole lot of crewmembers are double masked, with a light blue disposable beneath the dark blue X version.  Maybe I wasn't paying attention before my quarantine though.   Also, I was told by several crewmembers, when I asked, that all crew were tested Wednesday and that they get tested as often as twice/week.  And I received a call this afternoon regarding compensation which was quite fair and based on fare.  Choice of credit card refund (2-3 weeks) or FCC delivered tonight/tomorrow.
