EMed Rocks!

Ordered Binax early evening this past Wednesday & after numerous updates from them & FedEx, it was on our doorstep this morning. Do I now download NAVICA or wait until Friday prior to departure on September 19th?

Thanks from Nancy (couldn’t cruise without Cruise Critic)

It doesn't matter either way.  But if you want to get an extra step done, you can download the app now.

I just read on another thread hat Royal is going to a two-day testing requirement, prior t cruising for vaccinated. So I am very happy that I already ordered test kits through eMed.

Think RCI will sell them for less than what we paid eMed?

I don’t think RCI will be selling them at all. I don’t believe they have the credentials to sell a pharmaceutical prescription product.

Royal will be partnering with a provider to sell them starting Sept. 8.

What @twangster said, they'll be available on the 8th.  Here's hoping it'll be cheaper!  Then again for me, as a solo traveler, anything less than $150 is fine by me, LOL.  It's all savings at that point!

Their email says Optum will be operating their “storefront”, I would imagine RCI will just link from their site to the Optum site that everyone is currently using.

I doubt it will be cheaper, since it is the same vendor that everyone is currently using. Without RCI subsidizing the orders, there would be no reason for Optum to sell them cheaper.

I just received my 6 pack today so I'm all set for now but it will be interesting to see the price.

It is much more convenient doing it at home.  Wish some other cruise lines would accept them officially.   Hopefully they will follow Royal.

Bulk contract.  Airlines sell A2S cheaper seats to Royal.

Smart phone will work. I used my IPhone in Cabo last month to do one of the tests for return flight to USA

Do you need to be on the app at the time of the test? Did you just have your phone leaning up against something during the video chat?

Can we use my IPad? We ordered the tests from EMed earlier today after reading the reports on CC. We are seniors (80s) and struggle with all of the new technology. We do have cell phones, but I prefer my tablet. Thanks for your help.
