Protocols for the cruise this weekend

Vaccination. All guests 12 and older must be fully vaccinated prior to sailing and must provide documentation of full vaccination (for example, a COVID-19 vaccination record card) prior to boarding. Guests must have received the final vaccine dose at least 14 days before sailing.

Pre-arrival testing. All guests 2 and older must bring the negative result of a COVID-19 test taken within 3 days of sailing.

Testing costs. COVID-19 testing at the terminal for kids 2-11 is complimentary.

Insurance requirements. Before you travel, consider getting travel insurance to cover yourself in the event you or your travel party become ill on your trip and require medical evacuation.

Travel documents. Identification: A passport book or passport card valid for at least 6 months after your cruise is recommended. A U.S. state-certified birth certificate and driver's license or government-issued photo ID (for guests 16 and older) are permitted.

Face masks. At the terminal: All guests ages 2 and older are required to wear face masks and observe social distancing during the boarding process. Onboard: Guests 2 and older must wear face masks onboard at all times, except while eating and drinking or in areas designated only for vaccinated guests. Masks are not required in your stateroom, on open decks, or at Perfect Day at CocoCay, unless in a crowded setting.

Face masks. Your mask should be at least two layers of tight weave fabric with loops that fit over your ears in accordance with health guidelines. The mask should fit your face closely and cover your nose and mouth but allow you to breathe easily. Note that neck gaiters, open chin bandanas and scarves, and face masks with valves do not meet health authority guidelines and will not be permitted.

Sail day testing. Kids ages 2 to 11 are required to take a complimentary PCR test for COVID-19 when checking in at the terminal. Registration details will be emailed in advance.

Denial of boarding. Failure to meet or comply with any of our health and safety protocols may result in denial of boarding.

Port stops. All guests must follow the applicable health protocols for the ports we visit. Local government requirements may vary and are subject to change. Guidance will be provided onboard. No tours are required for guests to explore Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Protocols subject to change. All health and safety protocols are subject to change. We are committed to communicating any updates that may occur prior to your cruise. Tap Health on the Royal Caribbean app’s home screen for the latest information.

FAQs. Find more information about health and safety protocols in our FAQ.

Day before your cruise: Answer your health questions in the app. Save time and vacation sooner. Sign in to the app, we’ll send a reminder notification to complete the health questions. Can’t access the app? Answer your health questions at the terminal.

Boarding day: Honor your arrival time at the terminal. Everyone will receive a wellness check before being cleared to board. Guests who arrive outside of their scheduled arrival time will delay their boarding. Be sure to have your travel documents handy. Onboard: Complete your safety briefing

Connect to the ship’s free Wi-Fi (no internet package required, in-app charges), tap Safety on the app’s home screen to launch the safety briefing, then stop by your assembly station before the ship sails. No app? Go to your assembly station and a crew member will assist you.

It's really exciting seeing these ships start up again after so long, and then following along.  We were supposed to go on Freedom last month but that didn't happen.  The ship looks great after the amp. I look forward to following along.

Wondering where you found the table about Venues and Activities at a Glance with the vaccinated/unvaccinated noted?  That's good info (and shows you what is running as well)

Have a wonderful cruise.

Nice to see The Bird sailing again.  Looking forward to your updates.

Thank you!  This is the Bird’s third cruise since restart. The Bird was on the first RCCL North American cruise then the first NCL North American cruise. This is just a weekend getaway.

@BirdTravels  -- if you board Freedom today, I'm also on that cruise.  It would be a pleasure to meet you.  There's a loosely organized sail-away at Coconut and Lime @ 6:30 on the 12th deck (2nd floor of C & L).  Looking forward to meeting you!  Thanks for the Live thread!
