Thanks for starting the thread, Belle. Down one lb. from last week and three in three weeks. This intermittent fasting is slow compared to Atkins, but it seems to work and the variety keeps away boredom. Mornings are a challenge though.

Thanks for the motivation.  I’m maintaining.
MTN good job  - a lb a week is wonderful

Tuesday talked with a kayak instructor and scheduled to get some lessons in a month (we both have scheduling issues).  This was to prepare for seeing the manatees in Florida.  WELL the stars all were aligned  - booked an Uncruise for Baja in feb. I got a single cabin without a supplement — Saving abt 43%.  —my first solo cruise-  have a wonderful TA who will take care of everything.

All this motivated me to get serious  with my total gym— will work on  upper body  strengthening shoulders and abs.

Izena--Your doing good staying the same. Nice things coming up.

Come on ladies and guys---Where are you? If you don't post, others won't

post either. If nothing to read or learn from---nobody will be here and this

section of cruise critic will be over after all these years.

Good morning Belle — I  think maybe everyone is getting out more after a rough year of  isolation.

i hope everyone returns. Especially with the holidays just around the corner.  The accountability alone is beneficial.  The lbs have a way of creeping back.

got 2.5 miles in this morning it’s about my limit.

I am joining in for the accountability. I want to weigh close to 125lb by our cruise Jan 9 2022. I currently weigh 148. I did a body fat scan yesterday Oct 14th and came in at 24.6% body fat. I would like to have that down to 22% body fat by the cruise in Jan.

I'm back to maintenance. 2nd time. I'll never be as slim as Izena but at my present weight, my weight no longer holds me back. That and a blue dress is what I was hoping to achieve.

Now if I can just hold on through the holidays

Welcome @NCLGirl2013

Izena---Yes it's been a rough 18 months or more for everyone. I to hope

our old friends and new ones will come in to get though the Holidays

without gains but at least small gains.        Your doing very good on your

weight and walking.

NCL---Welcome, nice your joining us. Yes weighing in each week will help

you to lose towards your goal of 23 lb loss.

Ombud---So happy you made your goal of wearing your blue dress on your cruise.

You did good on losing weight and maintaining.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend and you each come in during it to

keep you and remind us to stay on our plans to lose weight this week.

Hi all!

Belle ~ thanks for starting the thread.

I had a busy day yesterday so didn't come by. I went to a bird banding place & saw how they capture, weigh, examine, band, then release the birds. They've had 7033 pass through so far, beating the last 5 falls by over 2000 with 20 days to go. At night they capture the little Saw whet owls.

NCLgirl2018 ~ welcome!  I wish I was at your starting weight, lol. I was 147 for about 20 years but after I retired managed to go up 25 lbs!

Izena ~ you've done a great job! Congrats on booking your first solo cruise. I love them & am doing my 28th & 29th at the end of the month. That's out of 46 cruises, so more than 1/2 alone..

Oh, I'm down a little this week, just 0.4 but I'll take it..

Have a nice weekend & stay safe.

~ Jo ~ 😊

NCL- welcome your in the right place for motivation,  encouragement and accountabilility. You will need to lose 7-8 lbs a month.  That’s a lot.

Jo your holding steady which is great with. Your holiday.

Good evening if up or good morning if reading this Sunday morning.

Planned to get on earlier today but things got in the way and then I

did a stupid thing. Had something in microwave took it out and open

the top to soon...yep the HOT steam burn my hand, really two fingers,

one the whole length.  Really hurt, put cold water ice on them for quite

awhile. Why o why do things we know we shouldn't do. Don't think at times.

Jo---Happy you had a loss.  Sounds like you had a good day watching how they band birds.

Do they do this everyday or just certain times of the year?

Jan---Welcome back. Hope you had a good vacation with your family.

Hope the scale is good to you when you step on it.

Izena---Didn't know this was your 1st solo cruise. Thought you had done them before.

Since my husband has been gone most of my cruises have been solo, a few with my daughter

or a friend. One benefit sailing with someone is they pay their share and you don't have

to pay double. Sailing with someone is nice but sailing solo has it's points.

. What's nice about solo is you can do what you want when you want and

not have to think of the other person. End of November doing my 61st to 66th cruise.

I've been so lucky that some of them are free cruises during the years because as said

before solo's pay double when cruising solo.

Had problems with my eating tonight. Wasn't hungry to much and then----I just wanted

to eat. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. Drank water to try to get rid of urge. Why

some days don't want to eat and then some days you want everything in sight!😕

Everyone have a good Sunday.

Good Morning all.  As I posted we were on vacation with my family (siblings) for a week in Charleston SC.  We rented a house - enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone.  There were 10 people - then two nieces and families rented hotel rooms.  We walked everywhere and used the "dash" free bus.  There are cobblestone and brick sidewalks and the first day my older sister mis-stepped and fell.  She ended up riding to the hospital by ambulance.  Stitches around her eye, broke bone in cheek and sprained a wrist - She will be fine and after the second day she felt much better.  The black eye and bruising was amazing!  So glad it wasn't worse.

My SIL has a watch that counts steps.  She and I walked the same amount and it turns out the second day we both walked almost 20,000 steps - it was like that all week.  We all ate well, but not a lot.  We talked a lot and looked at old pictures of parents/grandparents, etc.  Glad we were all able to go.

All in all I am down 2.2# - guess that tells me that I need to do more walking and to be more active in my daily life!.   Jan

Jan---Glad you had a good time. So sorry for your sister, happy it wasn't worse

sounds bad enough already.  See they say walking is the best exercise you proved it.

Lots of steps each day! Great Loss!

Was wonderful you all could get together and have all the pictures and memories

of your family.

Hope everyone is or did enjoyed your Sunday.  Was your eating good? Did you follow your plan?

It has cooled down for fall in 50s this morning. I’m having to bundle up more.

Jan glad your sister is okay.  Falls are my greatest fear - I tend to break.  Stopping actives that put me at risk. Ie skiing, bike riding (riding is okay it’s the getting off and on that tests my balance).  Going to try kayaking and snorkeling,

Hey no one talking again! Is everyone alright?

I did something good today. I upgraded two of my cruises to a balcony,

so now 5 cruises in a balcony and one inside. Inside only for 5 days, 1st cruise.

Same cabin for 4 of the cruises, last one next door. Someone had to take

my room for the last cruise.😀  So nice have to move only twice now. Got

a good price (casino discount and OBC left). Happy.

Daughter came by and help me put Patio stuff away. Suppose to be having

rain each day this week starting tonight. Glad she had the day off to help.

Winter is coming to soon for me.

Wish you all would talk more. So few of us. Seems like I'm just talking to myself

.Our cruises are getting closer. Susan gone already on her 2nd I think. Jo your

next. Jan then you, then me. Do I have that right? Have I missed anyone?

Take care everyone.

Good morning Belle.    Same routine here.   Binged last night - just bored.  Haven’t  deliberately increased  calories yet. Still trying to stick to 900 calories.  Wt wobbles up and down but staying in same range 125  - 129.

disappointed sent my son the same pictures I had on this thread -  he never responded.   The TN bunch is suppose to cruise out of Galveston week before Christmas -  expecting they won’t visit.

Now that I’m fantasizing about being more active my right hip is aching when I walk over 0.5 miles.  It’s sad to feel my age.

Belle great on new cruises.  Wish. I lived closer to  larger ports.   Everything involves  air.

Thanks for asking but no, I'm not alright. I'm mad at me which is why I only lurked. Nothing major. Actually minor. Every time EVERY SINGLE TIME I get to maintenance I back slide. I don't know why. And it's worse during season changes. Minestrone good, foccacia bad. Spagetti meh? Garlic bread really bad. I really need to figure out why I sabotage myself. I think it's mental

Friday (provided it's not raining) will be worse because all 10 of us are going to 6 Flags Discovery Kingdom. So that's a lot of salty park food

Jan, cobblestones are a problem. And I noticed that a lot of them were uneven in Charleston. Beautiful city but I had to be careful walking around

Belle, enjoy those balconies. I really like being able to step outside (unmasked). When do you go?
