I am horrible at Halloween - Love chocolate - love candy.  I don't like snickers or dark chocolate so should buy that then I won't eat it.

I am still sick - but it could be worse.  I am down this week 1.2# -- I hope I can keep it off and lose more once I start feeling better.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.  Jan

Hi all!

Belle ~ Hallowe'en won't be a problem for me this year as I'll be on a ship! Usually we don't have any kids so I buy what I like, either chocolate bars or salty snacks then eat them all!

Izena ~ a dietician on a Zoom call this week suggested 1200 calories is the minimum one should have. Are you okay with doing less? Aren't you hungry? I can hardly manage 1200!

Jan ~ sorry to hear you're sick. That sounded like a lovely family trip you had other than your DS'

fall. How is she doing?

Much to my surprise I'm down 0.2 lbs, guess those potato chips were okay to have!😉 Wonder what I would have been down without them?!

Have a nice weekend & stay safe. I've booked my pre & post cruise tests so hope it all works out. Fingers crossed!!

~ Jo ~ 😊

Oh no! Feel better Jan

I am desperately looking for tips on how to maintain.  I'm not in my 20s where I was in my 120s anymore (or even 50s where I was 140s) but creeping up doesn't need to be an option. I'm finally back to under 25 bmi according to my Drs office. How do I stay here, go off the losing track, and not jump up? Yeah. Did that twice this year. He says weight yo-yo is really bad but I cannot figure it out (apparently)

Site issues — multi attempts to post.

Jo I’m fine with calories - never really hungry except for sweets. Its truly an addiction.  I have a slow metabolism -  almost impossible to get heart rate over 70 - can’t get into a cardio burn.

I did have dinner at a friends - ate lasagna, bread and cheesecake.  Normal serving sizes.  I did decline taking home a doggy bag.

off topic -  what do you frequent cruisers do about trip insurance?  The small river cruises which are expensive have very expensive trip insurance.

Izana, I just book through Princess. Cost is supposed to be 8% of cruise fare on 1st 2500 then 7% but I've got 1 next April where its just $39. Bargain but then its just SF -> Vancouver  -> SF. it'll be my health insurance.

Hello to everyone.

Seems like everyone had a pretty good week. Had a loss or stayed the same.

Jan sorry your sick. Hope your better now. (I love dark chocolate) Sorry had to

lose by being sick.

Ombud and Izena -------

Losing weight is hard, some say maintaining is even harder. You have to find

out how much you can eat each week.  You two seem to be doing pretty well.

Mtn..It's always a struggle but we keep at it. You had a loss that's good.

Candy, Candy...Chocolate---Chocolate----Why is it so good?

Portion control do those words go with candy?       I know they have to.

Jo have fun on Halloween cruise! I've enjoyed the ones I was on.

(I passed out candy on those, crew loved it--passengers too)🎃

Hello all!  Wishing all a Happy Halloween.  We will be headed to Grandkids for trick or treating.  We have been on ships for total of 23 days so far.  Yes I am up 3.5 pounds but again I will take that.  Trying to be good while home.  Walking 2 times a day and eating my nutrisystem.  Hoping the candy will not jump in my mouth while with the Grands.  Headed to a 12 day cruise November 7th.  Loving being back on the ships!  Belle thank you for the board and having somewhere to land between our bookings.  Hope everyone continues to do well.  Izena I did see your posted before and after pictures!  My hero!  Till later.....Susan

I guess this is going to be a weigh in board and not a talking

board anymore?  I miss the talking.

Come in and no one talking so I don't either much anymore.

Don't like just seeing my name up there.'

Hope every is/had a good day.

You usually start these threads for the week on Thursday. When you post, suggest a subject for the week. I'd like to read from posters and discuss which diet they're on. What brings success and what doesn't. Is there something that gives them strength to continue? How to deal with discouragment...

This was “submitted Monday at  at 6am

Good morning everyone.  Up since 4am.   Since the wt loss I avg 5-6 hours of sleep a night and no longer take naps.  Jazzper isnt happy when I get up so early.

I hope everyone on the west coast is safe from all the rain / flooding.

trying to get ready for more active trips.  Feb cruise is small ship no elevators.  Trying to do stairs (go to ungated  apart complex to build up knees)  one flight does me in.   Also working on shoulders  upper body for kayaking.  Good intentions not being very consistent.

it’s now Tuesday. This is very frustrating to have to retype rd-re-re submit.

Mtn---What you suggested was once was done on this board. Had more

people at the time. We would discuss more things.  It's been different with

the covid the last 19 months.  I would make challenges up like this--

We could do this one for this year if everyone would like.

Nov. 4th to Jan.6th--No Gain Holiday's. Be for 9 weeks.  Would try to have a loss,

mainly stay the same  over these Holiday months and if had a gain it would be

very little because you were aware of what you were eating or not eating.

Of course main thing is to lose but with the different holidays can make it harder.

Starting weight Nov. 4th. end on Jan. 6th.  Then say what your outcome was for

the 9 weeks.

Izena--Sorry your not sleeping as well as before. Do you think it's just because

of weight loss, less carbs. Getting older, not doing as much activities as you did before

I know my sleep pattern is lousy. Can't sleep at night so sleep later in the morning.

Don't take naps but doesn't help. Seems like you would be sleeping better with

your walking and your new exercise. Hope so.

Hope everyone is enjoying their week. Eating right and STAYING OUT OF THE CANDY.🎃
