read2learn Posted October 22, 2021 Author #4 Share Posted October 22, 2021 Thanks. i didn't read the fine print! (as usual) I emailed my TA but she is out of office today so I will see what response I get. 🙂
poocher Posted October 22, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2021 I checked with my TA on this too as our OBC would be $300. But our current price is still lower than the sale even taking into consideration the extra OBC. We got a military discount of $620 for the cruise and it’s down to about $200 for this sale. I got $35 from last sale. So it can be applied. Maybe because otherwise I could redo it with new price under cwc. Solo seems to get less obc. rockmom Posted October 22, 2021 #7 Share Posted October 22, 2021 I called yesterday and was able to get it added to a cruise I have booked for next year on Navigator, but that's probably because I called to move up from a balcony to a Jr. Suite, so was going to be spending more money anyway. That's a great military discount. Which cruise was that availabe?
mrpayroll Posted October 22, 2021 #9 Share Posted October 22, 2021 Called last night and with their new price, we would have to pay more.
cruiseguy1016 Posted October 22, 2021 #10 Share Posted October 22, 2021 I could rebook my cruise for $1.16 less than what I am paying now. However, if I choose to rebook and save $1.16, I'll lose my corner aft balcony cabin. I think I'll just keep my corner aft cabin and forget about saving $1.16. 3
smokeybandit Posted October 22, 2021 #11 Share Posted October 22, 2021 They jack up the prices to make the OBC even out, so buyer beware.
matthewthamm Posted October 22, 2021 #12 Share Posted October 22, 2021 Yeah, what #smokeybandit said. TA went through the repricing drill (we are paid in full) and there was only a $5.00 difference from our current booking. Not worth the headache

Yes although the cruise I am interested in did come down $25 after everything is factored in.
read2learn Posted October 23, 2021 Author #14 Share Posted October 23, 2021 This was her reply. Thank you for your email. I checked with Royal but unfortunately, they can't because the category that you reserved is sold out and they need to refare the reservation to that promotion to be able to give you that on board credit and since they cannot refare on a sold out category they can't add any on board credit. coldflame Posted October 23, 2021 #17 Share Posted October 23, 2021 (edited) Reminder, at least in our experience with WoW sales, it's usually not the best time to book on board activities and shore excursions. Last 3 times while the cruise fare was substantially cheaper than we had (and repriced accordingly) the shore excurisions and on-board activities were 15-20% higher than what we paid. Smart of RCL, but if you can wait a week or two, you might find the same activities for less. Edited October 23, 2021 by coldflame
