If they are using cabins on Deck 6 to quarantine crew, how can they be sailing at full capacity?  I’m in a cabin on Deck 6…not until May…wonder where I’ll wind up…😜

We're on deck 6 next sailing.  There's been no change in our app.

Our cruise is only 60% full; 1600 passengers. I would expect this will be last cruise that Deck 6 is used to quarantine crew

We are on deck 6 for the November 7 sailing.  No changes on ours either.

Mary

DW and I are sailing on Nov. 7th along with her brother and SIL.  We were both in cabins on deck 6.  We were moved to deck 10 and they were moved to deck 7.

Its possible that they didn’t mean every stateroom on Deck six

I’m on this cruise, another interesting item is there’s a passenger with a full size golden retriever service dog, what makes this more interesting is that he brings the dog to the buffet food stations.  Nothing wrong with that, just isn’t something I’ve seen before

Bahamas and Aruba required the vax card to get off the ship

There’s more people than I realized who don’t have the AI rate,  One stated that they didn’t have the drink package and that the casino only offers free drinks while playing during select hours/days

Most have raved about the food and service, only negatives I’ve heard has been the food /selection at Blu and that the drink staff hardly ever visits the solarium

I asked an officer what the capacity was, he stated there were 1577 pax which is 55% capacity

Thanks for added info. I agree about menu at Blu. Only ate there once and only because filet was on menu. Otherwise Main Dining menu is great. Spent all day at Marriott resort in Aruba. It was great. When returned to port the security really hardly checked id’s when returning. Got a call last nite from shore excursion office that my excursion to Kleine Bonaire was cancelled, not enough people booked it. Very disappointing! Kleine Bonaire is one of best snorkeling places in the world. Now I will have to do it on my own and without my cabin credits. If only the passengers knew what they were missing.

Update to Deck 6 analysis. I had prior reported that it appeared that all of Deck 6 was being used as a quarantee for the crew. After careful analysis and a thorough walkthrough I would estimate 59.54% of the cabin on Deck 6 are being used.

We are currently approaching Curaçao. Another one of my favorite ports. Yesterday the Carnival Horizon was with us and suppose to be near too. No plans since both my beach excursions were cancelled. I guess with ship at 55-60% capacity the tours just don’t get enough people to take the tour to make a profit.

I would contact Woodwind snorkeling in Bonaire.  They are an easy walk from the ship and do a great drift snorkel from their catamaran

Thanks for the suggestion but they are booked. Due to Covid Woodwind reduced the number of people from 26 to 15 snorkelers which was scooped up by our 12 traveling companions months ago. There is a public water taxi to Kleine Bonaire a couple hundred yards from the port.

We are on the January 9th sailing on Equinox.  Last week I went in to make a dummy booking, so I could see the number of open cabins.  My calculations were that as of last week the ship was sailing about 900 passengers short of capacity.  I guess e will see.

Just back from Curaçao. Once again Celebrity required Vax card to get off ship. Makes no sense since it was checked twice when we boarded. Again very little port security getting back into port. 20-30% of people not wearing masks in stores. Carnival Horizon with us today but not tomorrow in Bonaire. RNB signing off for now

Do you have to show the card when you get back on the ship

With the vax card.  If you show a pic of the vax card you do not need the physical card.  They’re claiming to be doing it as a courtesy so you don’t get denied entry into various business.

I met several people from the Horizon this morning, that said they just cancelled Bonaire and many weren’t happy about that

If I may ask, how long ago did you receive notice of the change and what were the cabin numbers you were in on deck 6?  My app and the Celebrity website still show currently same cabin we booked. TIA

You are so right about Klein Bonaire. Great snorkeling and even better diving. If you manage to get out there let us know which site you got to enjoy.

Curious what you did in Curacao.  We have an overnight there in April on Equinox - they cancelled B of the ABC's much to my dislike...

Back when we were frequent cruisers, we found some of the ships were very chilly in the common areas.  We remember freezing on the Edge.  That being said, how is the Equinox especially in the evening.  Would be good to know from a clothes packing standpoint.  Thanks.
