Grand Caymann change

I go on the Odyssey Mar 6, 2022, I've heard some people on cruises all around mine and some in January get changed. Mine still hasn't, will it come. They got emails yesterday.

Cayman government won't decide until late January whether to reopen GC to cruise ships.  It is very likely too early to expect RCL to do anything with March 2022 GC sailings at this point.  They'll likely wait until the end of January to decide on March and later sailings.  On the other hand, January and some February cruises can expect GC to be cancelled.

They just last week finally changed Cayman for Dec 4 Odyssey....so who knows about March. With that being said we all knew nothing was going to stop in Cayman before 2022....March 2022 I would think they are hoping may be a possibility.

We sail on January 9 and have not been informed of an itinerary change.

We're on the Feb 26th 8 night Southern, and ours was changed yesterday from GC to Nassau.

We got the dreaded notice yesterday that our April 9th cruise changed ports from GC to Nassau. Ugh!

We got the letter from Royal about our March 26th cruise itinerary. Grand cayman is cancelled and replaced with Nassau. See attached:

Stay tuned.  They may be working out the replacement, and that's much easier said than done (especially with all the ships having to switch away from Grand Cayman).

We are on Jan 30 '22 Liberty and it is still listing Grand Cayman.  No other Liberty cruise before April has Grand Cayman as a stop.

I am on the March 20th cruise and still haven't gotten any notice of the change.  When I went to the RCL site it still lists Georgetown, GC on the itinerary.

did you book directly through Royal, or use a travel agent?  If the latter, your TA should receive the letter, and notify you.

Just got my Changes last week for Nov and first week Dec Cruises.

Our March 12, 2022 has also been changed as of yesterday to Nassau.

GC stops were changed Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico. Key West stops were changed to Coco Cay and Bimini. This on Jewel doing B5B Nov/Dec and also B3B in April

They probably have to find docking space for the ship somewhere else.  it sounds unlikely that GC will be your port stop.

Yeah it's unfortunate. My Dec and Mar sailings both got the email. I was hoping March would still be able to call since GC plans on reopening to cruise ships late January. Royal may know something I don't. I really like Grand Cayman and hope it continues to be a cruise port in the future.
