Maybe, just maybe the upload did not upload correctly???

In health and bon voyage

Not sure. It was there a few days after we uploaded it and now it’s gone. As long as it doesn’t HAVE to be in the app I won’t worry about it since I’m sure they will want to see the actual card regardless.

I keep getting emails from Celebrity telling me to complete my vaccination status now.  When clicking on the links I don't really get anywhere to do this, just to a FAQ area about testing, etc.

I have already done the vaccination record on my phone; on the app it says validation in progress and has said that for a couple of weeks.  I'm assuming (hope) that this just means that we must add our Covid test results and also the health form that must be filled out the day before the cruise?

Any input on this?

Call Celebrity & ask them to add your vaccination status to your booking, then ask them to send you a new invoice while you're on the phone with them.... you will see at top under your name:   special services: vaccinated

If you're traveling with a partner you can attest for vaccination for both of you 🙂

I made a photocopy of both sides of my card side-by-side and folded.   Once I laminated it I have a hard time differentiating it from my original.     It was accepted every time I left the ship.     The Security only wanted to see you had a copy or original on you and don't even look at the details.    I also used the copy when dining in SF where Vac card required for all Bars and Restaurants.

BTW I also have a copy of my phone as well as the California Confirmation QR Code with details on my phone.

Great idea!  Thanks!  I'm making a laminated copy tomorrow😀

Good Luck calling.  I called about a different topic the other day and after being on hold for 30+ minutes a female voice answered.  I could not understand her but I did understand she could not hear me.  After a few seconds she disconnected.  Big waste of my time.  Still need an answer to my question.  Even calling Captains Club is a major issue.  The tried and true reps stationed in US seem to be no longer.  Most of them were long time employees and actually knew the answers and were not reading from a script.  Somehow though, we will survive.  I just want to get back to cruising.

I understand Celebrity wants you to upload the vaccination card on your app. I did not do that before I cruised, as I checked in on my home computer. although I had stated to them that I was fully vaccinated.  When arriving at the pier, they will ask to see that vaccination card quite a few times, and that is when it matters, , so if you didn't or can not  download it, I wouldn't worry about it.

I know!  Both my TA and I were on hold on different occasions for 2 hurs plus!  And when I did get someone I could barely understand with their accent.  I may try calling really early or late.

When calling to change flights (not on Celebrity) with the same issue I thought it was hilarious that I could hear a rooster crowing continuously in the background.  Most people I get lately seem to be from the Phillipines!

We laminated our originals and so received a new card for our boosters.

Thankfully, where I live in Canada, I'm eligible to receive my (Pfizer) booster, 6 months after having received my second dose!

We're a little behind here in Canada!

We boarded  the Summit a few days ago.  There was a station at the luggage check for retreat guests.   We stood they waiting for the rep.  She looked at our vaccination cards . Passports, and covid tests.   She said we didn't need o show any of them again.  She then escorted us into the terminal.   She was wrong we had to present everything a few more times.

Typical X.  The right had doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.   All is good and really not a problem.   Roll with the punches and enjoy life.  Don’t’get upset over trifles

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🌅

Why would you need to check more than once?

Ours were checked at the check in desk in Southampton and that was it.

I would imagine quite a few will just tell them it has been checked and walk on past....

There are reasons not to make a truly laminated copy of the original card as it is permanent, but instead order the plastic see-thru sleeves for these cards from Amazon or other online sources.  That is what many of us have done.  You can use these sleeves for photocopies of you card too as Jim suggested for carrying in ports or whatever purpose.

Too late for us. We laminated the card once we got the second shot.  We had to have a white label put on it for the booster.  I am hoping they can handle this and not be a problem. If it is I will let everyone know when we get back on the 28th.

Same experience I had.  While they want you to upload your vaccine status before embarkation, they will check your original vaccine card a few times once you get to the pier.

Since Canadians do not have a national physical card, what is Celebrity doing there?

We do in the UK - but I suspect many do not keep it as we have an app showing the record. No need for a card when the NHS app shows all the information along with a QR code that can be zapped by whoever.

We certainly didn't need to show the card for UK cruises.

It seems that the card is a bigger US thing, as I guess there is no app to store the information.

I wasn't going to laminate our original, justt copies.  I bought holders on Amazon that hold our passport and vaccination cards.  The cards are behind a clear window and I think they work great.
