Where might I ask is this Affogatto ordered?  I am drooling!!!

it isa scoop of Gelato with a shot of espresso.  To make it better ask for a shot of Kailua.  You could also add vodka and rum.

Happy cruising z🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

That’s my plan right now as I do enjoy doing them. We’ll be in an aft-facing Aqua cabin and have never been on a M class ship. So it should be a lot of fun exploring a “new” ship style. 😎

I hope you love your M class cruise!  M class is my absolute favorite.  Smaller and more intimate, it reminds me of how cruising used to be.  We did an Aqua aft cabin from Vancouver to Seward, Alaska it it remains one of our most favorite cruises of all time.

Ken, if you are on deck 11?  We were in an aft AQ on deck 11 on the Summit on deck 11. We loved being able to take the stairs back there up to the Sunset Bar, but it looks like that has been replaced by the Rooftop Terrace for movies. Oh, well. The aft cabin will still be wonderful and we have almost never been disappointed in Blu.

Actually, if one is in an aft AQ on deck 11, one takes the stairs DOWN to the Sunset Bar.

Good afternoon from the beautiful Celebrity Constellation.  I believe the saying goes something like “all good things must come to an end.”  Sadly that is true. The suitcases are out and mostly packed. Awaiting the return of the last 2 loads of laundry.  For some reason I was up before 5am so it was a quiet time to sit on the verandah and sip coffee and deal with some of realty of work email.  Today was our usual Luminae for breakfast and lunch, preparing 15 tip envelopes, cashing out at the casino and packing. I’m trying to absorb as much of the suite and verandah as possible. However, May is right around the corner.  George went up to the pool and snapped some pictures of the amazing buffet today

In case I forgot to mention, the captain said we had 1,124 passengers this cruise and I believe he said there are 584 passengers expected for the 10 night cruise beginning tomorrow.  All crew are still housed in single guest rooms or crew quarters.  My masseuse told me that Celebrity is trying to have their staff eat healthier meals. Far less pizza and pasta are offered and many more cooked and fresh vegetables.  Most are happy and grateful but a few miss the “junk food.”  We drank the last bottle of Caymus Reserve last night.  No more on the ship at the moment. It is our big cruise splurge. While I will be sad to depart tomorrow morning what I will miss most of all is the wonderful Anu, Gede, Russell and the amazing Luminae staff. How fortunate we have been the last 11 nights.

So happy you had the opportunity to have this great team for your cruise.  I'm sure we will have some great service on X ships in the future, but it wouldn't be possible to exceed what these folks did to make our cruise the best ever.  Saying goodbye really was tough.

I will end the cruise tomorrow morning as I started it….with eye makeup running down my face.  We have started adoption papers for Gede.  It is a very fun and running joke in Luminae.  They brought me a slip of paper last night with all the names of the Luminae staff. They said that they all want to be adopted and go with us and Gede.  Of course I used it for ensuring everyone was well tipped. But, they brought it again this morning after I distributed the tips to remind me that they want to be adopted.  I would be so proud to call any member of the team my child!  I only have the 4 legged variety of children so maybe, at almost 65, it’s time to have human children.  LOL.

Thank you so much for taking us on this journey with you.

Till we meet again…in person for the first time!

Good afternoon from Tampa airport. Notice that I did not say from the beautiful Celebrity Constellation.  Sadly it was time to leave this morning.  There were hugs and thanks and fond farewells in Luminae, the Retreat Lounge and even shoreside at baggage where officers came over to hug us and thank us.  I am anxious to get home and reunite with our four legged children but not looking forward to life without Gede and Russell and all of the wonderful crew that we met who made our vacation so memorable.  Gede and I will certainly keep in touch.  I hope the current passengers have as wonderful of an experience as that which we enjoyed.  Thanks everyone for following along.

Really enjoyed you Live posts.    Thanks to George for the great buffet pictures -  I was salivating.   Chat with you soon.

We booked 5 new cruises this week for the 2023-24 season.   Never too late to grab those cabins you want.  I was able to book a B2B2B with the same cabin for all legs.

Jim,

please email me about what you booked. I’m trying to catch up on the home and work front but I do want to tell you about the December 1st officer visit to our suite.  Let’s catch up via email.  Thank you again for your wonderful help with the cruisecritic site. I never would have been able to post without your help.

"This sailing made a HAL cruise seems like a Carnival or NCL cruise."  Although I have only read about HAL cruises, this statement really made me LOL!  Thank you for taking the time to provide the informative information!  Again from what I have read the Constellation is a very popular ship! Sounds as if Celebrity is doing a wonderful job keeping her in great shape for her guests!

Curious.  Why are you still here?  You didn't like this thread.  It was not suited to your tastes, etc.

Thank you for your reply. We have cruised almost always on Royal. We are not rich and saved up enough money to be on this cruise....it is almost double what a Royal cruise costs as my wife wanted a balcony this time. We usually travel in ocean view or inside staterooms. We just don't want to feel out of place. We are simple people in our needs.

OMG.  Just remember, most of us are not in Suites.  We are in insides, balconies or oceanviews.

WE are the majority!  Enjoy

I am very interested in hearing about the condition of the Constellation.  Especially because of missing

the revolutionizing.  I found post #152 very helpful in addressing my curiosity.  I hope that meets with your approval.☺️  Hope you enjoy wonderful cruises!  I am looking forward to mine after 12 years and

my first on Celebrity.

We’ll be on Connie again in March.  For those of you who just go off….are you getting chocolates on your pillow every night?    Also, and more important, is there an ILounge aboard?   And are they selling iPads?   I need a new one and the “no state tax” incentive great.  Thanks in advance.

Chocolate, yes.  Not sure if in all cabin classes, though.

iLounge = yes

Current version merchandise = no (old stock and no discounts)

We purchased an iPad when we were on the November 12/21 Constellation sailing and it was a 5th Generation version.

I’m sure the Buckeye crowd will flame me as they like the simple life, but this is part of the Private verandah for suite 6147.  Good night all.  More tomorrow for those that might enjoy the report.

I am so enjoying your report!  I loved the Constellation and I am anxious to read of your adventures.  You earned this adventure, enjoy it!

I will message you today.   Been busy torturing my body.  My Son just got a new house and it is going to be a complete tear out but he was able to get his first home in California which makes me really happy for him.
