The new “it’s real now” symbol

In ye olden days, an upcoming cruise never felt real until you got a cabin assignment, or maybe when you completed online check-in. For some, it felt real only when luggage tags arrived. 
 

My cruise this Saturday (Grandiosa) now feels real because…. I shoved a q-tip up my nose for my Covid test. Wish me luck 🤞

Negative! I’m good to go. Live-blogging starts Saturday. Assuming I make my impossible connection in Lisbon, but that’s a story for another day.

Impossible connection missed. Fortunately there are plenty of flights from Lisbon to Barcelona, so the negative consequence is time spent in the airport here instead of leisurely strolling through Barcelona. Assuming nothing else goes wrong. I’m now cutting it close.

Ha, ha!... At least welcome to our wonderful Lisbon for a couple of hours. Our airport might not be the best one in the world by any means, but at least they have some of the best coffee shops out there on European airports. If you're in that mood and near the place, "Pastelaria Versailles" might to be for you!... Not cheap... But a nice way to jump your cruise excitement in style!... Have a nice day!...

In “ye olden days” we did “The Doc Dance” when the embossed folder with the cruise documents arrived in the mail…LOL.  Bon Voyage and enjoy!
