Info on current B2B process and testing wanted

We are on the Apex next month and wondering how the b2b process works.  Do we get a second covid test on the ship for week 2?  Also I checked in using the Celebrity app and was a bit surprised it gave me a time for week 2.  I've only done b2bs on Princess and they just walk you off as a group and then you can immediately go back on.  Thanks in advance for the info

Yes, you will get a Covid test onboard for week 2. Celebrity treats each cruise separately which is why they gave you a check in time on the app.  Just ignore it. You will disembark as a group, do a quick walk through immigrations and get back on board. Since each cruise is separate, you cannot carry over unused OBC from week 1 to week 2 so if it is non refundable it will be lost if not used.

You will be invited to a B2B meeting and they will also schedule you for a free covid test the day before arrival.   Current reports are you get your results back about 20 minutes after test via e-mail and later by a paper confirmation.

Remember that if you are contact raced to a person that tests positive even if you test negativ or fail the test you will not be allowed to continue onto the next cruise.   Good reason to practice social distancing on the first cruise.

It's been several days since I asked my travel agent who books my cruises this question and I have received no reply.

I board the Silhouette for 10 days and then back to Ft. Lauderdale for 1 night.  Then board the Apex. for a week cruise.

Any ideas out there if Silhouette would be able or willing to give me my covid test for the Apex sailing?

Thanks,

Jim is correct. We just went through the process this morning and got back our results in about 20-30 mins.

Thanks,

Just make sure to visit with guest relations when you are on Silhouette and let them know you will be sailing on Apex and the date.  They should test you on Silhouette with the B2B people since you are going on a Celebrity ship and your testing window is the end of the Silhouette cruise.

That is what I was told to do for my Summit to Reflection transfer.

Yes, they most definitely will.  Tell guest relations of your plan and you will be tested along with the B2B and international passengers.

We are doing basically the same thing- Silhouette for 11 days, one night FLL, the Reflection for a week. Celebrity and TA say to arrange with Guest Relations after boarding. I guess you don’t make the list for retesting without asking if you are not truly B2B.

We recently did a B2B on the Summit.  There wasn’t  any meeting.   We received a letter telling us to meet in the Rendezvous Lounge at 9 am.
We waited there until they escorted us off of the ship and thru customs and then back on board.  The big delay was waiting for customs to process us.  We sat in the lounge and then stood in line in the terminal  for at least 15 minutes don’t really remember but it seemed like a long time.

There will also be a letter to instruct you about getting the test.  You will need to scan a QR code and fill in the info for the test. You will then receive  a confirmation code to present when you go for the test.

We also received a 2 coupons for laundry and a invitation to dine in the MDR for embarkation lunch

Every cruise and ship may be different.   I can only vouch for our process.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Yes the instructions were not exactly correct.  It stated you had to create and account on this website and make an appointment.  No you don't make an appointment you just create the account, scroll down to the bottom and take a picture of the QR code.

They need the QR code to check you in for the test (it's your account # to record the test results).

Ah, right.  I remember that experience now.  It wouldn't let me 'schedule' a time, and I took a ride down to medical to ask why.  They advised it was a glitch.  They're using a generic program that allows for time Selection even though it's not relevant or necessary.  Pax are informed by medical as to when they should put in an appearance for their tests.  The app is useful only to put you on the list.  Medical takes care of the scheduling from there.

Net:  No need to fret about inability to set a time in the app.  Just ignore that.

Also be sure to take a face mask and I think they wanted to also see your vaccination card along with ID other than the sea pass card.   I seen many going down and then leaving as they forgot to bring something.  The info needed is on the letter and as the usual  MO of X some of it wasn’t required or asked for.

We were given a window between 8:30 and 11:00.  We went at 8:30 and the waiting area was filled.   We left and went to breakfast.  Came back around 10. and the person that was in front of us was almost to the front of the line.  We still had a 1/2 hour wait.

Besides doing the rapid for the B2B they were doing the test for travelers that needed it for their flight that required the other test.

On Millennium it made me fill in all the information and then gave me an appointment for Seattle although we were in Ensanada on our way to San Diego.   In our case many did not register at all and were tested with no problem.    Maybe it helps identify your e-mail for sending results.

I know they scanned the resulting QR in medical to tie it all together.  They also sent a physical note after filling the online firm telling us when they wanted us at medical for our tests.  Not sure if filling the form triggered that or not.

When I did it on Millennium in October and Equinox in September - they scanned our room keys and then the code on the vial.   We did not get immediate results back.   They were on our bed after dinner.   I'm sure they are streamlining it all the time.   Your process and immediate results sure seems better than wondering all day.    The Retreat Hosts said don't worry.   If you failed you would have know real quick when Security knocked on your door or picked you up.
