So is picking testing time and boarding time 2 different times? Or you just pick testing time and that's when you arrive, test and wait.

Also.... what time do they start allowing passengers on the boat? Is it different then before covid?

So this is the rub:  You can schedule testing as early as 9:00.  If you're among the first in, you'll be out by perhaps 9:20.  In LA, you were then loaded on to a shuttle bus which took you to a different pier where you'd do the more traditional check-in.  But that process didn't begin until about 10:00 or so.  In the meantime, you stood in line under a tent (no seating) until they were ready to let you in.

The actual check-in process is similar to what you're familiar with, just a bit more streamlined.  There are separate lines for Haven, Platinum and above/CAS, and everyone else.  I was the first in line at the Platinum check in.  They check your credentials, take your temperature, etc. then give you your keycard.  Then you're directed to a seating area until the ship is ready to board.

The boarding process isn't too different than the Good Old Days.  If you're Haven you do not pass Go, you're escorted directly to the Haven lounge to await boarding.  If you're Platinum or above, you sit in the general area but you're the first of the "unwashed masses" to board.  Then everyone else is boarded by zone based on how early they were in line.  I got on the ship a bit after 11:00.

For me, being registered early meant having to "hurry up and wait."  That might not have been the case had I chosen a later COVID test.  But perhaps I'd have stood in the testing line instead.

Got my testing numbers, set up my Eurofins accounts, but now the new passwords for Eurofins won't work.  Since I already have my barcodes is there really any reason I should pursue getting my password issues fixed?  Will I ever actually need to log in to Eurofins again?

Yes, that is where your COVID results will appear for health privacy requirements you will need to be able to log in again using your user name and password to retrieve those results.  That negative COVID test pre boarding as well as any additional ones during the trip will populate into the Eurofins app that will be needed to upload to declarations before certain ports.

We never needed to 'log-in' to our EuroFins account.

When we got our results by text, it had a link that we could access the results.  (Also received an email.)   We didn't have a need to 'log-in' to our account as the message we received took us to the results.

I have a question for anyone who has recently done a B2B cruise. I did the initial online check in after booking our cruise on the Breakaway, and was at 84% complete.(could not go any further at that time) Then they changed the process to the 21 day mark to complete and couldn’t be accessed. I am coming up on 21 day mark this weekend, does anyone know if I have to complete the check in for both legs of the cruise (1 week apart) or will all the info transfer to the second leg automatically. They are two separate reservations but have been linked in NCL system , but I think I will have to do it twice. Thanks in advance for any info. I would call and ask NCL, but confidence is low on their customer service rep being accurate lol

I'm interested in this as well.  I'll be on the Bliss, but I imagine the procedure will be exactly the same.

Sand and Seas: thanks for sharing we do not have to do any more logging in with Eurofins, got our bar codes, am assuming they will text or email us, or we will go and ask if there is a delay,.  done with signing into anything anymore to get on the ship (Bliss) Jan 9th  lol, I think

I know, there are just so many things to worry about and work on.  It really was easy once we got to the test site (New Orleans Marriott).     They texted AND emailed us.

We were just waiting for texts on our phones and then got our pink wristbands saying we were cleared.   When we got to checking our emails later, we had each gotten two emails from Eurofins to say results were ready.

Were you tested during your cruise?  We are being tested basically every other day onboard and need the eurofins app for our results.  To upload and verify COVID negative results for each country's attestation form before arrival with test results 72 to 48 hours prior.

Yes, we were on the cruise that CDC held up in New Orleans.   CDC had NCL test us on Tuesday and Saturday.  No Eurofins needed as NCL did the testing.  We would have been informed (and quarantined) by NCL if positive.  We didn't have to do any attestation forms for the ports we visited.

It sounds like your itinerary has more requirements.   Hope it all works out for you.

Checked in online at midnight to register with Eurofins, watched muster drill video, and now are 100% complete. Managed to grab 9-9:30 testing time for January 23 Breakaway sailing. Just waiting on our edocs. We are now in cruise mode, unless NCL decides to cancel, but I really don’t think they will.

Did you have to have a separate email for everyone in your party? Did you get a bar code from Eurofins? Did all members of you party have to watch the muster drill video separately? (Could be different for me as I believe Miami uses CVS)

I will be doing this next week. 🙂 Any info is helpful, thanks.

we used my email for both of us. I am listed first and husband is second on reservation. We did get a bar code for each individually since I added him as another member. Also, there was a bar code on the email with instructions to log on Eurofins website with temporary password. I will be printing these out to bring with us and I have screenshots on my phone as well. I watched video( muster drill) first, made sure everything was completed for me, then went back in and husband watched video and then completed his info. Hope this was helpful

Glad to see I am not the only one who can't access the online check in...well, not glad but at least I am not imagining things 🙂

Wonder if they are going to extend the pier side testing past the end of January or if they will go to a "get your own test" model like they announced earlier.

I happened to be awake at 2am this morning and realized it’s now 21 days till cruise time (1/23 from NOLA) so I checked in. Just curious why they need your flight info pre-cruise. We’re coming in a few days before to spend some time in NOLA so would I still need to put this info in?

happy sailings 🚢🛳

In your case, NO, you don't have to share that information with NCL!

For the most part they are looking for groups that are coming in on Embarkation Day.  (Sometimes, cruises have been held for large groups who were on delayed flights.)

Thanks ggTexasGal! That’s kind of what I figured...more for people flying in same day. We did that once and said never again!! Too stressful - especially from the northeast where weather is so unpredictable

Our port is miami too and yes, it was for CVS. As above stated is pretty much the same for the cvs check in version. I went thru and checked hubby in right after i did mine. The video is only minute and a half long, had to watch twice. Sent us each to cvs site to register for test. I used the same email to keep all organized. And was sent 2 confirmations, one for each of us where u can click link and print bar code if needed. Was actually very easy to check in and set up tests

Thank you. One email address would be easier as only one to check.  I will more than likely print. I rather have a piece of paper than have to find everything on my phone. (I suppose I'm old school and old)

I feel the same lol. I like to have the print outs too just in case anything happens to my phone 🙂
