I love the idea of all of the extras in the sky suite, but really love the wake view of the aft penthouse suites.  I think Princess may be missing an opportunity to allow any full suite passenger to keep their suite but upgrade their package to include the extra service.  Depending on the cost, I may have done it for our upcoming cruise.

Mara if you usually have aft penthouse suite we are on port side Baja Deck when they talk one balcony dinner and breakfast in the Sky can't we get it as often as we like in our suites as long as we pay the premium price for the dinner? I was told we will be able to do this as we don't want to use the main dining rooms at all on the trip.

We just booked a Penthouse on the Sky Princess for Feb. 2024 14 night B2B. Suite was approx.. $4800pp. This include drink packages/2 complimentary specialty rest, meals/ Complimentary tips included etc. No butler service as Princess is not as exclusive as Celebrity/Hal/Cunard/RCCL/NCL/MSC when it comes to suite pax.

All guests in full suites can order off of the MDR menus anytime it’s open. They deliver it all at once. When you first meet your steward let them know you’d like the MDR menus daily. You could look at them on the tv but I enjoy sitting on the balcony and reading them.

When you pay the $$ for ultimate balcony dinner it’s served course by course. I don’t think it’s worth the money to have UBD every night.

I order from MDR menu.  I order my salads and once they arrive I call down and order our mains. We don’t usually eat dessert. Ordering like this from MDR menus has always worked well for us. I do hope you’ll try the specialty dining breakfast at least once.

Our party of 4 stayed in S309 last week on the Scandinavia cruise and the majority of the information given is absolutely correct. In addition to what has been mentioned, our mini bars were restocked daily with our choice of beverages both beer and soft drinks. We were all also given a coffee package for use at International Cafe. The suite comes with free access to the Concierge Lounge where every evening drinks and canapés are complimentary.

We were contacted about 5 weeks out by the pre cruise concierge service as already mentioned and special events were taken care of onboard which was lovely. Our Suite Experience Manager was superb taking care of us from the moment we dropped our car at CPS Parking all the way through to escorting us and our luggage with his team from the ship back to our car upon disembarking the ship.

We ate in the Estrella dining room club class on 3 occasions and on 3 nights ate at Crown Grill, Sabbatini’s and on our balcony for the balcony dinner experience, all of which were excellent.
We also had a full afternoon tea served on the balcony which was delicious and why there was no evening meal required that day😀

The whole experience was a once in a lifetime celebration for us of many major milestones and the suite is simply stunning and so comfortable and the balcony is a joy on sunny days to lounge around upon high quality furniture including a large clam shell sofa. At the rear of the suite, there is a coded door giving access to little used hot tubs and a pool on deck 17.

If your friends can afford the upgrade, then I would take it as the experience is unlike no other on Princess.

I'm just catching up on the review here.  Sounds amazing.  We'll be in a Sky Suite on Enchanted this Fall.  Can you please tell me more about the Hot Tub and Pool on Deck 17?  I don't see it on the Deck plan.

Thanks in advance!

The hot tub is actually on Deck 18 - just along from one of the access doors from the Sky Suite. The nearby pool is the Retreat Pool on Deck 17. Can access via outside stairs just past the hot tub,

I doubt the UBD menu varies, either.

We were in S310 (the sky suite) on the Enchanted in March and the hot tub was right outside the  back entrance to the  back part of our balcony.  We would go out at night and had the hot tub all to ourselves....it was wonderful!

We’re in S310 too!  It’s funny bc I saw the hot tub back there but somehow thought it was on the deck below. So there is open access to the hot tub from other decks?  It’s odd that Princess didn’t think to include a hot tub on the actual Sky Suite balcony.  Most of Celebrity’s top suites have them.
Thank you very much for the info!  Much appreciated.

You are going to love the suite and April the Suite Experience Manager!  Yes, the hot tub is open access but we hardly ever saw anyone in it.  We were always by ourselves in it at night.  Hope you have a wonderful time!

On board now and you get access for the whole cruise. We will be heading down shortly. 😃

Hey Ehg - how was your final review of the Sky Suite? If I'm not mistaken, your friends upgraded to it and then you and your party did, too! I hope you had a lovely time. Our cruise in the Sky Suite is coming up. I'm excited.

I'm only a bit nervous for my parents,. They are in their 80's. I just want to make sure they can get around okay. They both can walk but my dad is slowing down. I am hoping the SEM will help us arrange for golf cart transportation from the pier to the bungalow as it would be too far of a walk for my dad.

@Suite Susie We just got our email from Thor, the Land based Concierge. I’m talking to him on Thursday. What should I consider? Any tips or recommendations? We are in the Sky suite on the Discovery in November. Thanks for any advise!

I’m debating if the plus package is needed when we stay in the sky suite for the total eclipse cruise.
In addition to the sky suite alcohol and beverages including the nespresso machine in cabin there’s the concierge lounge and our elite mini bar.
it seems we will have all the bottled water, good coffee and mixers we need for all the spirits we will be given.

I will be carrying on a case of my preferred wines.

Can you ask Thor if I’ve missed a reason for needing it?  I just don’t see what’s missing.

Of course we will pay the auto grats and an extra something for those crew who make our experience exceptional.

I think that is a personal preference. We are getting a bottle of rum, vodka, mixers, beer, and bringing on our favorite wine,  but we STILL purchased the Premium Plus package. We plan on drinking outside of our suite - love those Beverly Hills Iced Teas! 😜

We are 3 weeks away now!  Super excited. We spoke with Thor this week and pretty much reviewed all of our preferences and reservations. I am unclear what additional service April will provide. Can you please let us know?  It feels like everything has been taken care of.
Thank you!

Thank you!

We have now returned from our experience and the best way I can describe it is that April is your on board fixer and magic maker. Yes Thor submits your preferences and reservations but it's April that meets you at the terminal to ensure you have no wait to embark or debark. She checked in each night to see if we'd be using our theater seats or if we had plans to get off in port. April met with us to plan our preferences for the balcony breakfast and dinner offering suggestions, additions, and alternatives.

We mentioned to Thor that we planned to celebrate Dad's birthday on the cruise expecting nothing more than the Happy Birthday message on the portal screens and the small cake dessert at dinner everyone can get. April arranged his birthday celebration to happen on our balcony dinner night and had our dinner waiters sing to him, gifted him a Stanley bear and Princess  tshirt, and presented us with a large cake in addition to the desserts from the balcony dinner's menu.

A couple times we had charges on our account that should have been included - she took care of it. She surprised us with something that required us to move a dinner reservation we'd made with Thor. She took care of that. We had an issue one night when another group who had been given extra reserved seats(in the same traveling party as the other Sky Suite but in different cabins) in the same area tried to send us away from our reserved seats insisting that all the seats were for their group. She handled moving them and saving us further confrontation.

All we can say is, "Wow"!  We are 12 days from Embarkation and very, very excited.  Do you remember how far in advance of departure April contacted you?  So happy to have some help with boarding.  My husband has some mobility issues so it will be nice to have help navigating our way to the cabin.

We were supposed to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary when we first booked - about 3 years ago.  We're up to 32 years - but it will still be nice to celebrate on board.

Thank you very much for your reply.  So happy to hear that it was a memorable experience.

We were in the Sky Suite October 8-15. April contacted us the night before through WhatsApp and also the morning of embarkation. April is great and will take good care of you. We were celebrating our anniversary on board and it was done with the balcony dinner. They did a great job with everything.

Did you do the Chef's Table on your sailing?
