Just noticed that my club royal status has changed to prime.  Any idea what that means and what the benefit is of that?

 

Also noted that effective April 15 I will be able to redeem my annual cruise benefit on April 25.  Any idea what that is about,

Are you questioning this because you don't gamble on board?

 

Or do are you just unaware of the Casino Royale program?

FYI — Royal grandfathered all tier status for the next year which began on April first.  They also lowered the number of points needed to achieve a level due to limited cruising.  Possibly you qualified for prime with the lowered points needed.

 

I will never get higher than prime.  But the free drinks in the casino is nice even if you just want soda or bottles of water.  The free yearly cruise is nice too.  Congratulations.

Do you need to register for this before you can use it?  I ask, because if I put my data in  I get nothing.  Zero casino points.  I know I don't spend much, but I should have a few points.  My wife also had problems for a while, and it took the casino host and some magic beans to finally solve the issue.

It looks like the points just reset for everyone to zero a few weeks ago. I have zero as well.

I was prime last year which was grandfathered in from the previous year. I see that it says we will again the prime status for 22-23. Does anyone know for sure that since I was given the status for 21-22 that it will also carry into 22-23. Let me know if someone has already found this to be true.

It is my understanding that we will continue our status from 21-22 into 22-23 even if you have not cruised (which is our case).  It is also my understanding that we will be given an annual Prime comp to be used any time (after it is loaded to your account) up through 31 March 2023

After following the links, I've discovered that my wife and I are eligible for drinks in the casino. Didn't know that.
