I got one for 7/2,inside room,7 days Caribbean, $299 with $199 each on board credit....booked it, but the $199  on my manage cruise page says it's an shore excursion credit!!!! Uggh,  was hoping to use it in the casino! Do you know if it could be used for anything else but excursions?

Pre-pandemic people posted that the OBC was on the onboard account but did not have to be used for shore excursions no matter how it was labeled.

Well ,I used the chat feature on the site and the gal checked, she said it could be used for onboard purchases including Drinks, casino, tips and etc! I took a screenshot of the conversation just in case! Yay

I am curious, has everyone that was told the offer was a mistake called the Casino phone number?

I called the casino number and I wasn't told of the mistake.   I was able to book 2 cruises with the P+.

I am on your same cruise, and got the same offer.. I spoke to two different reps and they both said I can use it for Grats, beverage pkgs, dining, gift shop, excursions etc.....But they both said we cannot use that OBC in Casino... Which was a bummer because we do gamble ALOT.... But that's ok, I'm sure we'll apply it towards grats and maybe towards our drinks, because we do not buy beverage packages.

I've never been unable to use any of my OBC in the casino.  Often times the reps have no idea.

Has anyone tried booking cruises from Australia using this offer or LA to Australia?

Mine didn't have any offers to Australia.    I had some to Hawaii and quite a few in Europe as well as the standard Mexico & Alaska.

I got this May 4th offer, but inside cabin, with $250 free play and Princess Plus (showing on the banner in the email).

When I called to book, the rep said he only saw the free cabin and the free play on the offer, and not the Princess Plus. After asking me several times if the Princess Plus was on the offer in the email, he asked me to forward the email. Once I did that, and he was convinced it really was on my offer, he was able to add it to my booking.

But then the free play disappeared from my account. He said he'd request it and I should call back if it's not showing in my account in a week.

I was able to book three cruises, all with Plus, so that was nice. But there definitely does seem that something is odd about this offer with so many people reporting different outcomes.

I received an email offer and not sure why.   I probably only spend $50. a cruise in the casino.    The offer does say the code is CASINO.    Must be desperate sending it to me.  LOL   Maybe the offer is only for a glass of sparkling wine. ☺️

Is anyone else having issues with Princess Players Club canceling their cruises booked under a casino offer due to redeploying ships to other areas (Sapphire and Ruby) and not being allowed to rebook or use the replacement cruise offered in the Princess emails? This has only been an issue since 2022 before that I’ve always been able to rebook to another cruise or to the replacement voyage. Anyone else having this happen in 2022? These changes are discretionary and they’ve had my money for years in some cases.

They cancelled my VIP cruise last November and automatically rebooked me on the Ruby this November.  Then they switched ships on me.  But no, I haven't had an issue with them completely canceling.  That's odd and it sucks.

Also if you want to use OBC in the casino charge to your room on a slot machine and play a few spins cash out then go to cashier and ask to redeem your banked funds. The room charges will pull from your OBC on your account. If you ask at the cashier you will likely be denied or it will be an extended hassle. I’ve overheard folk trying to do this at the cashier ans told they would have to call a manager etc … and not sure if it was approved after all that.

I’ve done the same thing in the Casino with my OBC but would have never ask at the cashier desk because I felt it would raise a red flag. In the past we were not supposed to use OBC in the casino but if nobody said anything I figured why not.

I got it, too...$100 casino play and "special" price when you complete the booking.

Exactly.   I didn't bother to go through the motions to find out what it was.

Me too.  Wasn’t sure what to do with this. Did you book it?  Are you supposed to put casino into it like a promo code?

strange…
