spending a week in Orlando and then cruising from port Canaveral.  Any suggestions on rental cars from the airport and drop offs near the port. Do any of the cat rental agencies let you drop off near the port and shuttle you to the ship?? Thank you in advance

Sometimes you get a better rate just booking MCO to MCO for the first 7 days and then make another rental One Way MCO to Port Canaveral area for like 4 hours on your cruise departure day.

So be sure to price it out all different ways. Check AARP rates, Triple AAA rates etc, Costco if you belong ?

We have a 6 day rental for January 2023 from Sanford(Orlando) Airport and drop off in Sarasota/Bradenton Airport..............$630 which I feel isn't to bad, $105 per day. (Large Car)     Years ago you would pay like $175 to $200 for that kind of rental. But times are a lot different now.

Budget has a facility in Port Canaveral dedicated to cruises and will shuttle to and from the ship.  We did this a couple weeks ago.  Check Costco for good rates.

Port Canaveral itself. We just got off Independence first week of July and they do have a shuttle from Terminal 1 ( cant speak for the others). If you want to walk it, its about a quarter of a mile as the crow flies. 710 Mullet Road is the location.

To save some money rent a vehicle for your seven day vacation separately while visiting the Orlando area. At the conclusion of the seven days return the rental vehicle to the same location. For the trip over to Port Canaveral rent the second vehicle for a minimum twenty four hour period. On embarkation day return the rental to the Cape Canaveral location and shuttle over to Port Canaveral.

Ever use TURO?  It's a ride share company that regular people like you and I rent their cars.  We have used it multiple times and LOVE it!!  Much cheaper that the regular companies.  They offer insurance, and check your drivers license as well.  Well rounded group of cars, anything you can imagine.

Is the shuttle service free? We are renting from Budget

Yes....My DH & DS dropped us off at the port and drove the rental to Budget and the shuttle was complimentary to take them to the port. This couldn't have been easier and we were very surprised at how quick they got back....under 1/2 hour.
