Beachin2 Posted August 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2022 Tried to search here (and on you tube) the cruise parking situation at Port Canaveral. Have figured the ship generally berths at terminal 10, but can't determine how close the parking structure at the port is to the terminal??? Obviously, driving and would rather not park off-site & do the sardine shuttle trips both ways - so parking at the port this time. How close is the terminal to the port parking structure? Any tips or tricks? Best to drop bags then park & walk back to terminal? We are in Yacht Club if that makes a difference. Your experiences welcome. Two Wheels Only Posted August 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2022 (edited) Parking is across the street. There is a crossing guard who stops traffic if you cross at the crosswalk. After the initial U-turn, drop your bags after doing a bit of a U-turn to get to the white tent. Do another U-turn to head to the parking garage. Turn left into the garage and walk back to the white tent. You will be escorted from there. You should be able to skip the lines and head right to the security check point. Seadweller001 Posted August 27, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 27, 2022 Drop off the family and bags at the tent, terminal 10 Drive across the street to the multi story lot, park inside to protect the car. Walk across the street to YC Tent. Amazingly easy and convenient. After the cruise, debark early early and you will be out in minutes, homebound. Add one day to your parking, 7 night cruise is 8 days parking at $17 per day. PC is just the best scenario for cruising conveniences. 1

eastender Posted September 9, 2022 #10 Share Posted September 9, 2022 I always park at the port but if there's a 4 day cruise followed by a 3 day cruise, the lot gets 9 days money! What a scam.

What a scam. Sort of I guess. It's a 5 day 4 night or a 4 day 3 night. If you are referring to 24 hours periods then I can see that, but they charge per calender day. Seadweller001 Posted September 10, 2022 #12 Share Posted September 10, 2022 A 7 night cruise gets 8 days x $17 or $136.00. Very convenient and well worth not having to wait for a offsite shuttle in the hot Fl weather.

I was looking at on lot and the rate is $5.95/ day for 4 days. $23.80 plus $16.52 taxes and fees ends up being $39.15. These are the Taxes and fees. Port Access Fee: $7.00City-State Sales Tax: $3.53Service Fee: $5.99 At the port it would be 4 days at $17 for $68 minimum if there aren’t any other hidden fees. The offsite lot has a shuttle that runs every half hour. If you miss it or it is full you have to wait for the next one. But it would eliminate me driving in the traffic congestion next to the port and the line out of the port lot to pay. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅 Unlike Port Miami or Port Everglades there is very little traffic congestion at Port Canaveral, particularly since MSC only sails Sunday and Thursday. Parking shuttles are really a problem at disembark. For embarkation boarding is spread out over 5 hours, disembarking is compressed into two hours. Personally, we always park at Terminal 10. Port Canaveral changed the parking pay method. You now pay as you enter. This eliminated the line to pay at exiting. Beachin2 Posted August 28, 2023 Author #17 Share Posted August 28, 2023 Off the Seaside yesterday after a 7 night cruise. Parking at the port including all taxes & fees $145.52. Worth it to park right across the street from the terminal. Not a fan of off-site shuttles considering the modest $ difference.

miched Posted August 28, 2023 #19 Share Posted August 28, 2023 Thanks for the reply. I think we will park at the port. Considering the small cost difference and not having to wait for a shuttle, the loading and unloading ir would be worth it, and then adding it all up there is always the tip to and from the lot for the driver. Not really a savings. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
Jeal Posted August 30, 2023 #20 Share Posted August 30, 2023 miched - park at the port. It is worth the extra money. We always park off site in Fort Lauderdale (Park n Go). We have yet to find a comparable lot near Port Canaveral. Many of them do not allow you to enter their gates until 10 am and the first shuttles begin at 10:30. They usually run a minimum number of shuttles so you may be waiting in a long line. We have tried 3 different ones since the restart after Covid and would not use any of them again.

Thanks for the reply We also us Park N Go. I wish they were at other ports. I asked at few lots about the shuttle frequency and they were all every 1/2 hour . I asked it it was full would there be another and told we would have to wait. I know how that works. You wait for the next one and then others that came later rush to it because of where it parked and get on before you do. NO THANKS Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
kelleherdl Posted August 30, 2023 #22 Share Posted August 30, 2023 One caveat on the parking situation at Port Canaveral Terminal 10. Right now only MSC uses Terminal 10. In the winter season NCL also sails a big ship out of Terminal 10. We have seen the lot get ‘fuller.’ We’ve never been turned away yet, but we always arrive earlier rather than later. I don’t know exactly when NCL sailings begin, but it’s sometime in November. They sail on Saturdays.
