Live Reports - Cruising on Coral Princess September 2022.

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd start new live reporting thread for the next round of cruises:

3rd Sept - 10 nights Queensland

13th Sept - 9 nights South Australia

22nd Sept - 4 nights NSW Hunter and Sapphire Coast

26th Sept - 12 nights Queensland & Conflict Islands

Hopefully a few other "reporters" will add their comments to mine.

Good work Julie. I won't be reporting re 13th Sept one as have not taken the package inc wifi. I booked Princess Standard Fare.

We aren't cruising then but I wish I was🤢 I've had serious cruise withdrawal since we got home off the Coral a couple of weeks ago.

Next cruise a 3 nighter in October on Encounter, just to see if we can cope on P&O after Princess.  It also makes us Elite finally 😀

Well, we've cleared the first hurdle - the battle of the suitcases. I won after a bit of a tussle! 🤣 We're doing the first two B2B - north first so hopefully warm, the south which could still be cold, especially Melbourne which has thrown a few freezing days at me in the past even in mid-summer.

Are you packing an extra bag to keep at the ready at home and do a quick swap in Sydney when you switch to your cold cruises?

That's our Melbourne 😁

No, we stuffed everything in our usual suitcases. It's only a few layers for both of us and one warmer pair of jeans for me. Regardless of where we are going we always pack a rain jacket and a light fleece - we were caught out a couple of times many years ago so come prepared for all weathers now.

I'm planning a very lazy day on the changeover day. Hopefully we won't even have to leave the ship but if we do we'll just wander up the Rocks for a coffee.

I have a silly question but where do I print luggage tags from? I’m on Coral tomorrow and a little unprepared… as in just started packing 5 min ago.

Go to princess.com, login to your cruise personaliser, and you can print them out with your Travel Summary there.

Having  a 3.5 hr drive then a hour train trip, I am coming up the day before my cruise on 13 Sept. Booked in at Holiday Inn, Kings Cross, rail stn is right there. Too much risk driving up day of cruise. Alway arrive day before.

Are you doing those 4 b2b, Julie? I knew about the 3, 13 and 26 Sept, but did not know you were on the 22 Sept one.

No, we're only doing the first two but I thought it would be good to include all the September itineraries. After those I think Coral goes straight into the Round Australia cruise.

Just a 3 night Eden cruise in between on 8th October.

Yep, looks like I am cruisin' in the twilight zone again.

The ship is there waiting for us. The weather isn't the greatest for embarkation though.

Bon voyage and looking forward to seeing your reports. It will be interesting to see if you notice any changes since you were on in July.

Have you ever thought of stowing away 😊

Not really. It is just work getting in the way, and it is hard to sneak away. I have plenty of leave, but much prefer cruising with Barb, and she has to be more selective around cruising mostly on her days off.

Just about picking times and going with what we can fit in. Not all bad. We disembarked Coral 2 weeks ago, back on again in 5 weeks time, and have Majestic in October as well.
