I would imagine that this may vary by band, but there was a Led Zeppelin cover band on the Oasis in March, and they varied the set list subtly evey night, but still tried to duplicate The Song Remains the Same.  It was a great show, except for the night where they ran out of time and couldn't play Stairway.  We came back the next night and they made sure that they got that one done.

I really enjoyed that venue.

We had a cover band that played lots of different artist's songs, but it was the SAME set for the first 7 sets. The final 8th show had additional horns, but they ended up playing jazz instead of rock along with a lot of the SAME music.

BTW, it was this band: https://www.privatestockband.com/

Very talented, but way too much lite rock.

We’ll be on the Oasis Nov 27th sailing.  Thank you so much for this live trip report.  I’m enjoying it so much.  Was it difficult to book your shows and any dinner reservations?   Prior to covid I though you could book the shows prior to sailing.

Thank you

Sue

It's not difficult, but do it on a day you board. There are several areas where the crew will help you to do it. If you are diamond level or above, the diamond concierge can assist you. There is a lot of crew that will assist you on embarkation day.

Hello everyone and good day. We left CocoCay about an hour ago and I had a very relaxing day.

I have been reading many reports that were less than favorable about CocoCay, and about Oasis Class ships bringing 6,000 plus passengers to CocoCay.

I was reading about not being able to get a lounger, or a spot in the shade, or food locations not having enough for passengers. I did not notice any of these things in CocoCay today. Yes there were many passengers there, but I had no concerns with any of the above mentioned items.

I started my day at the Oasis lagoon pool. I was able to get a great spot with a lounge chair and an umbrella that was near the Snack Shack, and the restrooms. The water was beautiful, and very clean. There were a lot of passengers in the pool, but we are talking about the largest freshwater pool in the Bahamas.

I had a great lunch at The Snack Shack. Everyone said that I needed to try The Shack Burger and the Shack Crispy chicken sandwich. I was told that the secret Shack sauce on the burger made this the best burger in the Bahamas. It was very good but I liked the Shack Crispy Chicken sandwich the best. I was able to get a nice table in the shade right near the Snack Shack.

I explored some different areas today and I really like the Chill Beach area. I am thinking about going there next week and chilling out on the beach there. Some of the workers over there suggested that the sand was very nice and not like the muddy sand that is over on the other side near the Coco Beach club. I was on the beach at the Coco Beach club last year and the sand was kind of muddy like. The workers said that this was because over there is a man-made Beach and that Chill Beach is a natural Beach area.

I have been asked a question often about the children's areas at CocoCay. There are several free areas for kids that offer water park like features. The Splashaway bay area may be the largest. When you first come off of the pier many parents take their kids to Captain Jill's Galleon. This offers many sprays and slides and water fun.

I really like CocoCay, and I will enjoy coming back here next week.

Here are a few pics. Thanks for tuning in

Well I did find out. I came down to the Aquatheater on the boardwalk level to see if the show was happening. It appears that the Aqua 80 show will be canceled for the remainder of this Cruise. I'm hoping they have it fixed for next week. The reason given for the cancellation is "technical issues"

I have to agree with you.  I found that chicken sandwich to be pretty good when i was there back in December.  Though i still think Popeye's chicken sandwich is better.  Its close though.

Thanks for sharing. I know this has to be heartbreaking for Nico and his team. They've worked hard all summer to constantly improve the performance. They are so proud of their show! I'll keep an eye out for updates next week!

Radio, if you get a chance, could you please take a picture or make note of the menu/offerings at the Vitality Cafe? If not I totally understand. Enjoy your trip! Thank you!

I went there at "Radio Dark30". Here you go.

Sitting there right now. This has been a great spot all week - even on sea days.

Is Oasis the only ship with this feature, or do other ships in the class also have this sun area in front of the solarium?

Am I correct that if docked at CT 1 you are a simple walk to Grill and shops?

Thanks! That would be great to stretch legs a little on land. Have seen the Aqua Theatre show but want to see again it's just so good! Hope they get the repairs worked out. As always great job on LIVE review, we missed you!

Hello everyone and Good Morning. Welcome to DAY 5 of "LIVE" from Oasis of the Seas

We arrived this morning to Nassau, Bahamas around 0715. We were docked by around 0740.
Passengers have been cleared to go ashore at 0830.

My plans today were going to be going to Margaritaville, but I may be doing that next week. Instead I may just explore what has been happening with the Port Nassau construction.

You can't see much from the Port Nassau webcam, but I have heard that many passengers have suggested a lot of improvement. I was here last December on Anthem of the Seas and a lot of work was being done on the pier.

While wandering around Oasis of the Seas this morning I forgot to mention that I like the new Unboxed vending area on Deck 15. Passengers have the ability to purchase many items without going down to the Shops on Board. These items include electronics, data cables, over the counter medications, as well as toiletry and personal items.

They also have a free charging system that will charge your device. You can place your device in a secure container and come back later and get it. It will be fully charged.

Here are a few pics. Thanks for tuning in.

The crispy LOBSTER sandwich at Beach Club is even better, but not worth $160 pp?😮

@Radio

Odyssey  has a similar vending area just before the diamond lounge on the Esplanade.

Harmony has it now also (I think, could be Allure...can't remember for sure).  It was on deck 15 where the little shop used to be on the starboard side as you walk outside from the aft elevator lobby.  Makes sense as there was rarely anyone in there buying anything but it needed to be staffed when open.  With the machines, it can be open 24X7 with no staffing.  And the added bonus of making extra money when a passenger pays for a razor but doesn't get it. 😉
