eyecantwait Posted September 12, 2022 #8 Share Posted September 12, 2022 Does anyone use the cabanas on an Alaskan cruise? I just picture this as more of a warmer weather thing. We're going next August. Thanks!

On most of the ships they have 3 TV's at the Casino Bar and usually have games playing. Look like in the picture there was a boxing match on. My experience is that when a major sports event is on they have it on TV in Room also. I personally bring my Roku and watch using YouTubeTV. If a major sports event like Superbowl they have a big party and often broadcast in the Theater, along with Hot Dogs, Pop Corn etc. On most of the S-Ships that went through Revolution (but Solstice has not) Cellar Master was converted to Craft Social and is a pub like bar with 3 TV's to various sports events. I have no personal knowledge what they did on Solstice. Picture from a couple years back - Can't see why wouldn't be on or ask the bartender to change the channel

LOL...only one S Class ship has been through Revolution...the Silhouette. Equinox had very partial one...that's it. We have no idea if or when other S class ships or 3 not yet Revolutionized M class ships will be updated. I was on Eclipse to Alaska in July and the condition of the furnishings was an embarrassment. Carpeting in some public areas including the gym reeked of mildew. Such a shame. I realize that the Revolution project is expensive and the corporation lost money during the pandemic, but would be nice to at least have a firm schedule for when these needed updates will occur. Hi, Can I ask what condition the stateroom and in particular the shower room was please? We were on Constellation in September, 3rd time on this lovely ship. The public area's were lovely and had been updated but our balcony stateroom (bathroom) was a really poor standard. The shower enclosure and floor tiles were in desperate need of being replaced! As we are on a special trip next October on Solstice. I would appreciate your thought's on the condition of the stateroom and bathroom please. The sliding doors for the shower sometimes were a little sticky but other than that the bath was nice. Just had to watch out for the step into the bathroom and into the shower. Northern Aurora Posted November 6, 2022 #23 Share Posted November 6, 2022 14 hours ago, Chrisclaire said: Hi, Can I ask what condition the stateroom and in particular the shower room was please? ..... @Chrisclaire: We spent two weeks on the Solstice in June and then 15 nights in September. We were in the same Sky Suite for both legs in June, and in September moved from a Celebrity Suite to a Sky Suite for the second leg. Bathrooms were in great shape but we did have an issue on the second Sky Suite in which one morning the water wasn't really hot. Our stateroom attendant called a plumber and it was fixed within minutes of reporting the issue.
