Celebrity Edge Class Dining

Are you aware that on Celebrity Edge class ships there is no traditional early and late fixed dinner time seating? Everything is just “eat when you want.”

But in practice it doesn’t work that way. Reservations are “not available” so it is necessary to stand in line, get a pager, and wait to be called. So your table and wait staff changes for every meal, and the wait staff don’t have the opportunity to learn your preferences as with traditional dining.

 

We are currently on Celebrity Beyond.

Yes the change has been posted on some other threads. 
This should reduce the wait times that were experienced last week in the MDRs.  Traditional dining utilizes a table 2x per evening.  Select seats guests from 5:30/5:45- 9 which would allow the table to be utilized up to 3x times per evening.

I have reservations made for my upcoming sailings, done in the cruise planner. Booked with open dining and then reserved my preferred time and dining room. 

 

Just as a heads up to let others know that reservations are still available.

Yes it is and for 2 sailings. Feb & Aug

We are on the Edge starting next week.  A few days ago I reserved for night 1 at 8 pm.   Now for all other nights the only times available show as 930 or 10!

According to information from people onboard Beyond, this is just unique to her.  Edge and Apex still have Early, Late and Select.  Of course, that could change with no warning/notification as well.

We will be on the Edge in January. We have anytime dining . So can you still make a reservation for anytime dining or is that not a thing anymore. I know Celebrity was still allowing you to make a set dining time on the Summit in July. Thanks

Yes, we just got off the Edge last week, make your reservations for dinner now!   If trouble with the website, just call C and they will do it for you.  

 

Once on board, most reservations are already gone.  You just go when your ready and wait, just like normal restaurants.  But on Edge, no close bar or seating to make your wait enjoyable.
