Cherries Jubilee Posted November 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2022 I was so excited to see new winter itineraries from NYC that I couldn’t resist! I know I have no idea what I have signed up for but she’s not an old ship so she should be in good shape. They’re still talking about the “fun” so there will probably be similar entertainment.
UPNYGuy Posted November 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2022 im glad Carnival isnt doing just the standard 'milk run' 7 day cruises on her. I am diamond on MSC, and this will now give me another option out of NY as both lines will be sailing year round.
Yankeegirl49 Posted November 16, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2022 I booked the 15 day southern Caribbean. I had been booked on a 14 day out of Baltimore but changed it to this one. I live in NYC, its an extra day and I had a better offer.
Rare shof515 Posted November 16, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2022 i currently have 3 cruises booked: June 2023 - Bermuda August 2023 - Canada March 2024 - 12 day Caribbean i love the longer cruises out of NYC and hope this is a sign of the future that carnival will do again. these are the type of itinerary that should be done. they are much better of the standard "milk run" cruises
beanie315 Posted November 16, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2022 We had a Sept. 8th booked on the magic which was changed to the venezia . Love the fact that they will be sailing year round out of NY.
sgttami Posted November 16, 2022 #6 Share Posted November 16, 2022 Excited to see winter sailings from NYC again. Looking at January-March 2024, 12 day, 9 day and another 12 day, 9 day. 42 day total. Afraid to go for it all because I don't know the ship. Perhaps a trial run is in order. LOL
JOHN 57 Posted November 16, 2022 #7 Share Posted November 16, 2022 we are sailing 29 September-14 October, could not pass up the price offered by Carnival for 15 days.

I am so happy to have winter options that are more than those Nassau/Private Island routes! Those places aren’t warm enough for me in the winter. Have you sailed Meraviglia? I have sailed MSC twice but I haven’t tried that ship yet. 5 hours ago, shof515 said: i currently have 3 cruises booked: June 2023 - Bermuda August 2023 - Canada March 2024 - 12 day Caribbean i love the longer cruises out of NYC and hope this is a sign of the future that carnival will do again. these are the type of itinerary that should be done. they are much better of the standard "milk run" cruises I booked a February 12 day Caribbean! 4 hours ago, sgttami said: Excited to see winter sailings from NYC again. LOL It’s a tough decision because the prices are good right now but I would have to try a trial run before I booked 42 days lol. At least reviews will be in well before your cruises so we’ll all know what we signed up for! 3 hours ago, JOHN 57 said: we are sailing 29 September-14 October, could not pass up the price offered by Carnival for 15 days. I would have waited but the price was the same as a 7 day on other older ships. We love taking a cold weather cruise now and we’re only 40 minutes from the NY cruise terminal so I couldn’t risk missing that price!
sammee Posted November 16, 2022 #9 Share Posted November 16, 2022 Casino has been busy. I got one for November 20, 2023. 10 days. Would have loved a Journeys cruise but husband won't be able to get that much time off. That's it I have 2 booked for next year. Guess I''ll have to pick on 2024

CruiseAdict218 Posted November 16, 2022 #14 Share Posted November 16, 2022 Booked the first sailing after the T/A, 4-day to Bermuda, wanted to book its first sailing to Bermuda, which happens to be the first cruise round trip from NY. Have family also going on it in July for a 8 day, but those longer winter cruises are very enticing, especially to the Southern Caribbean. Cannot wait to try this ship.

Cherries Jubilee Posted November 17, 2022 Author #19 Share Posted November 17, 2022 I’ve cruised Horizon twice so I’m actually happy this will look completely different even if the layout is the same. I’m not really a fan of repeating ships. I was just rewatching John Heald’s litte tour of the ship and it sounds like they are going to add a few things. I wonder how long it will be before we find out what they’re adding?

Princes cruises which is part of the Carnival corporation sails out of the Brooklyn terminal late august to October new next year, MSC will sailing out of the brooklyn terminal also year round. They are going to be lots of competition out of NYC for year round sailings with Carnival, Royal, Norwegian and MSC
