I have asked my TA to apply second passenger's FCD and was told it would only count toward payment since it was not a "new" but existing booking.  As in most cases @Steelers36 is again correct.

I "thought" packages could not be shared...therefore it would be "illegal for @c-boy to indulge in wife's calories.  It's way over the top for my taste buds.  I have to tone down the "volcano" when I order it.

********* right on.

@caribill Thanks for the history lesson.  Princess doesn't seem to learn from their modifications.  3 shows ALWAYS worked.  With seating capacity below 700...there is no way everyone every day would be able to enjoy the shows in the Princess Theater.  But then again, what else would you be doing $$: Casino $$.  Shopping $$.  Having a cocktail $$.

C-boy and I both have the premier, so we won't share the package, just the desert to avoid waste 😍

Oh, correct.  "Wasting" such a dessert would be such a travesty!  (Sorry for the sarcasm, twice...)

I'll play their game.  Pre-purchased wifi and crew appreciation before price increase for a cruise in 2023.  You pay them now or pay them more later.  If I cancel the cruise, I will get a refund.  No beverage package for this port intensive cruise.  They would get my money anyway.  They will just get less.

With 3/4 of the passengers having a beverage package, the less cocktails passengers order, the more profit Princess makes.

Meow....not sure what I did to end up in your crosshairs today other than express interest in something that you don't like.😏

I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.  Sometimes my "humor" is interpreted in a different way than I had intended.  I apologize for my comment and take no offense to being chastised by you.

Eating humble pie tonight.

Agree. FCDs dated after the initial booking date can be applied but bring no OBC benefit. You’d have to cancel the original booking and lose any promotional items associated with it, and re-book under current promotion offerings to get the OBC.

I normally book through online TA's.  I pay the initial deposit, then have to call to have them apply the FCD.  I've always gotten the additional OBC.

That's my experience.

But was the FCD purchased before or after your initial deposit?  As long as the date on the FCD is earlier than the date of the initial deposit, you’re all set. In my experience, they won’t grant OBC with an FCD dated after the initial deposit.

I didn't mean to come off as chastising; I was more hurt. You're one of the posters that I truly respect on here.

If chastise was too harsh, please suggest an appropriate reprimand?  Maybe eating one of those decadent sundaes so that I would have a valid opinion?

Hope I continue to earn your respect.

Now remember, one person divides the dessert and the other picks their half.  When my brother and I were kids, you can bet that last piece of pie was cut as accurately as if a laser was used.  😉

But with complex fantasias like these, you really need a side plate to get the divvying up correct.  Volumes could be written about how to properly divide a multiple-component dessert with asymmetric shapes.  For example, an Oreo garnish has to be equally divided between sharing participants or something of equal value to the party losing out on the Oreo half has to be contributed.

Then again, splitting a bag of seven donuts with my DH once got us o the radio with the NYT’s Ethicist columnist, so maybe we oversolve.

Exactly.  As I always demonstrated fractions in my math class using a chocolate cake.  No matter how you sliced it, I got to lick the chocolate frosting off the knife (carefully) !

Everyone needs to relax about the desert thing.  Really not that big of a deal, imho!

Princess is making it a big deal by marketing it as a reason to pay the increased price of the package.

Two premium crafted desserts, two smoothies or juices, two fitness classes and free shipping of Medallions prior to cruises are the new additions to the Princess Plus package.

For those booked on 2023 and later cruises with Premium Plus packages, does their cruise price increase? If so, surely Princess have broken the cruise line to passenger contract?

Available for bookings made after December 14th for sailings after February 20th

Does that mean bookings made BEFORE December 14th don’t receive the extras and get the Aug 2022 drinks package beverage menu? Lot of extra work for crew and admin if that’s their plan

Don't count on getting them in the terminal either. I ordered customized wristbands and no one could find them in the terminal or on the ship. They did provide me with non-customized bands and gave me a substantial refund. Princess found them the 2nd day and delivered them to our cabin (this happened to many passengers). So now I have two wristbands (was provided the 2nd pair for free).

UK passengers, as we are, have no alternative but to get them at the terminal - anyhow, our postal system is broken because of planned strikes by the workers! Just to make folks aware if you are cruising out of Southampton in 2023, nearly every trade Union is planning strikes to get their members a pay rise!
