Formal nights on Carnival

How many elegant/formal/chic nights on a 12 day Carnival cruise and how formal are they now  DH  happy to use tux but will not pack it if no one wears them on Carnival Australia these days

Passengers dressed for Elegant nights, but not at tux level.  There were two on 7 night cruise.

Leave the Tux behind. I like dressing up but not a lot of other very dressy up people on Carnival. You'll have two Elegant Nights.

Yes, leave the tux behind.  We had 2 elegant nights in 7 days.  Didn’t see anyone wearing a tux.

Thanks everyone   As DH does not have a jacket (other than the tux) would just a shirt and tie be acceptable

Sort of lost count  including all river and other companies about 75  I think  45 Captains Circle count  but of course as there is no longer loyalty credit it does not matter

Agree. Have never worn a tie on 'formal' nights. On my first HAL cruise, ten years ago, I was given a loan jacket to wear in MDR because I hadn't brought one. I didn't have to wear it as the maitr'd hung it on the back of my chair.
