Yes, the wind and the seas have calmed down a lot. No issues docking in Grand Turk this morning. 😎

😲 You missed Topher in his glory days!?!?  btw, Topher is pronounced "tuffer" with a short "u" sound.  He's named after Jack's daughter's ex-bf Christopher who turned out to be a dog of a man.

Have heard many TALES of Topher and seen lots of pictures.  We're always one of the first off the ship, find primo seats under a tree, close to water and park ourselves down.  After relaxing and swimming we move over to the M'ville pool for some live action and drinks!  Just never took the journey down to Jack's.  Going back in June and May, '24 so there's still hope!

We hadn't been on the Freedom or Spirit until now. That's why we chose to do a S2S on them now. Two more ships off the list. Our next three ships are also ships we haven't been on, the Celebration,  Venezia,  and the Vista. 😎

Sadly, Topher passed several years ago,  and Jack and Janet have retired and moved back to Canada. The new owners have retained the name for obvious reasons, and they fixed the place up nicely. The food is still good, but the bar staff leaves a lot to be desired. Very inattentive, looking at their phones, and you practically had to beg for a drink, even when they weren't busy. That never would have happened with Jack sitting there. Don't know if we'll go back. 😎

Today we have a sea day as we make our way to Bonaire. Should be a relaxing day. Morning show, Diamond lunch, casino time, four comedy shows, Alchemy Bar, etc. Have a great day! 😎

Unfortunately the inattentiveness is more the "norm" in today's world.....some folks just don't know when to put the phones down at the expense of others......sad indeed!

It truly is.  People even step right off the sidewalk into the street without even looking because they are so intent on studying their phone!  Jamman, I did not realize you hadn't been on the Spirit.  It's my favorite of the spirit class because my favorite color is yellow and my kitchen is blue yellow and white lol.  Hope they didn't change the colors-just very bight and vibrant!  Have a great sea day!

The Alchemists on the Spirit  are Katia, Alexandra, and Giovanni. On the Freedom were Zora and Zoran. 😎

Jamman,

         It sounds like you're enjoying your cruise on Spirit.  We will be boarding on Sunday when you return.  Did you happen to notice if the Red Frog Pub still has their "Happy Hour" on embarkation day where you get the 2 for 1 pitchers?  We haven't sailed since 2020 (I KNOW!!!), and last time they had that deal.  I'm getting mixed answers as to if it's still going on.

Good morning from a very sunny and HOT Bonaire. We are heading over to the Plaza Beach Hotel and Dive Resort for an all inclusive day pass. Nice long day here. We don't sail until 10PM. Have a great day everybody! 😎

We were there in October and their daughter was still working so got great service. Talked to her quite a bit. She was heading to Canada around Christmas or New years. 

 

Did they get the license plates back up? On of the bartender's said they weren't going to but the daughter said they would be going back up.

I totally agree with this. It's not the same and we may turn right and head to the whale next time.

Bonaire is my favorite.  We had a short day there back in August.  I loved it so much I want to go for a land vacation sometime.
