Blue Chip offer

We were offered a cruise thru Blue Chip.  Has anyone recently been able to add the “all inclusive—drinks/tips/WiFi  to their offer WITH a fee.  I tried calling tonight—but blue chip closed at 8.   I probably won’t be able to call now until Thursday (and wait on hold).  We sail this Monday

Would love to be able to add package if possible.   Was surprised to get offer— since we haven’t cruise in several years & didn’t gamble much

Yes! You don't need to add bev or wifi through Blue Chip, just call Celebrity tomorrow with reservation #. Maybe I'll see you on Monday!

Just saw a BCC email that came in this afternoon. I was hoping it was for a free balcony room but turns out it's for10% off cruise fare with drinks, tips and wi-fi included. Not sure this is such a great deal after getting a few emails with free balcony offers. Could probably do better using a TA or Celebrity rep.

How are they connecting with you? I know via email but is it because you have a blue chip number??

Just Curious!

We’ve been contacted three times, all by mail. I have no guess why, we aren’t enrolled with the casino and haven’t drop a penny in the ship’s casino in at least he last ten years.
Maybe because we are Elite Plus?? Makes no difference, we’re not interested.

I wondered how that worked. Do you know if you can pick which type of cabin you'd like;? Maybe the next offer will have summer choices or Europe. Probably wishful thinking!

Just confirming you realize it’s a free.  You can book and take the sailing and will not owe anything even if you don’t gamble

Got  the same email offer today as the other day with the 10% off with drinks, tips and wi-fi included. Big selection of sailings from Florida, Europe and looks like Alaska but no cruises listed past June. Think I will pass on this deal and hopefully get more offers for free balcony cabins.

I don’t think it’s free, don’t you have t pay taxes, fees and tip? With that being said, we haven’t sailed since the pandemic, but based on or experiences before, we don’t see the value for the money.

Well if they offer you the free veranda balcony , there is a savings to you.   If the veranda for that cruise is for example 1000 per guest base price then your saving would be $2000 per couple as you would have to pay taxes a tips either way

Yes, only the base fare is comped.  Sail now before there are even worse cutbacks 😅

The value is in how unbelievable the savings are. Had a free balcony on the Reflection recently and did have to pay taxes/fees and tips. Priced my next free balcony on the Equinox with the future cruise people and it priced out at $3200.00 less $400.00 OBC. Taxes/fees will be under $300.00 and whatever tips are at that time. Just hope they keep sending me the offers. Not sure if they will send out free offers for summer sailings but who can figure any of this out.

Simply depends on the itinerary choices.  My last offer was in late 2022 and was a 60% off deal, but they said I could do a fully comped sailing if it was either the Mexican Riviera out of San Pedro or the Carrib out of Puerto Rico.  There's a reason they're offering only those two as full comps because they're not very popular

We took advantage of a few of the comped sailings out of Los Angeles since we didn't need to fly. The first completed one (November) was only about 50% occupancy and were able to upgrade to Aqua at the $10 pp rate. Our next one is March 4 and even though it also appears to be only 50%  full so far, it was way more expensive to book the Aqua class rooms. In looking at the availability of Aqua it is only about 30% full so I may inquire again as it nears that date. Solstice was supposed to be in Japan at this time of year I believe so their Los Angeles sailings are not filling up.

The selections have gotten much better. More choices of ships and sailings. My upcoming sailing is 10 days to the southern Caribbean.

We just booked a balcony cabin on a 10-day Edge sailing out of Miami to the Southern Caribbean for just fees, taxes & grats, so it's not just the 'unpopular' routes that are being offered.

Too late to edit my post, I low rolled and therefore the only offer I received was advertised as 60% off.  Once I spoke to the BCC they said I could also do a full comp on those "unpopular" itineraries.  That was not advertised in the 60% off offer.

You missed the point, we see no value in the present cruises as we just don’t enjoy it at any price. Up until about nine years ago we loved cruising, averaged about 42 days a year with a high of 63, 90% being on Celebrity and RCL. As the changes came we started to cutback on our spending, on a cruise, figuring the less we spend, it wouldn’t be such a disappointment. At the end we were spending $0 on the ship and it didn’t make any difference. The choice was lower expectations or stay home, we chose the latter. It’ll be four years, in August, since we were on the Equinox, and we have moved on, no regrets.

Obviously how you spend your time and money is up to you, but you do realize if you're offered a comped cruise and the only thing you're paying is port fees, taxes and gratuities it would be literally CHEAPER to go on a 7 day cruise than stay at home, if you figure the cost of 3 meals/ day for seven days. You wouldn't be able to duplicate the food offerings at today's grocery prices. A dozen eggs is over $4!

I’m booked on 5 BCC cruises this year - the one I’m most looking forward to is an 11 night New England/Canada one out of Boston in Aqua class.  I love sailing out of Boston or Cape Liberty - both just a couple of hours away so no air or hotel, just drive to port early on cruise day.  As Kwokpot said above, it’s cheaper than staying home!

That is amazing! Did you get them all as free cruises or discounted cruises?? We did the Boston Canada cruise in September and paid full price for a sky suite .Unfortunately Hurricane Fiona changed the whole itinerary!!
We do have two free veranda cruises one 7 Mexico (upgraded to aqua for $20 more per day ) and one 10 day southern Caribbean ended up getting a sunset veranda for just taxes and gratuity!

We don’t eat three meals a day for seven days, 90% of the time it’s a light lunch and normal dinner. How do I categorize the $1,000+ we pay for air, the $200 for the hotel, or the $100 for the shuttles and one extra meal. At home I pay $2.33 a day for lightning fast internet, unlimited devices. Rough estimate for drinks for the two of us for a week is about $25. Since there are no tips, we pay a little over $41 for our Always Included.

So you are telling me that taking the comped cruise, and adding the $1,300 it cost of getting there, and back is cheaper than staying home? That’s almost laughable.

You’re all excited about paying $.35 for one egg at home? What about paying $9+, tip included, on a ship but only $.56, AZ state tax included, where I live.

Based on our experiences before the pandemic, a completely free cruise would be overpriced.

Have a nice day!

I called today with this offer and the agent said it’s the rate with  adding the drinks, tips and wifi and then 10% off.   It wasn’t a deal at all.  If you find out different please let me know and I’ll call back.
