I tried on two cruises and got turned down. My rates were $100 for the cabin. I can see why they said no.
pinto18 Posted February 12, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2023 One our last cruise we were denied and then ( at someones suggestion) we resubmitted and it was approved. Worth a try
pe4all Posted February 12, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2023 (edited) I resubmitted 3x for my just completed Spirit cruise. First time 1 year in advance, 2nd time 6 months in advance, 3rd time 2 months in advance. Was turned down each time - but I got the extended balcony for a total of $250 for 2 for 8 days, so I really can't complain. mz-s Posted February 12, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2023 Well I think it's OK to complain because people used to get shareholder OBC even with casino rates. So it's yet another cutback at a time when their stock is barely worth the paper it's printed on.
Krisco Posted February 13, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2023 Turned down twice also with casino rates, but as other said the rate was super low.
Rare 1kaper Posted February 13, 2023 #7 Share Posted February 13, 2023 I had the $100 pp rate with $200 OBC and fun play. I was turned down the first time I submitted it. My husband re-submitted it and was approved.

johnboy036 Posted February 13, 2023 #9 Share Posted February 13, 2023 I have been on many casino rates since the restart. Just got back from a $160 pp rate for a week on Panorama I have never been turned down for my shareholder credit. I hold over 1100 shares but I don't think that amount matters or gives any special consideration. I believe it's just who at Carnival gets the request. Turn around for the benefit is now really fast too once requested. I heard back on my request in two days. I would resubmit if you get turned down. Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted February 13, 2023 #10 Share Posted February 13, 2023 We usually get approved but, as some others have suggested - it never hurts to resubmit ! Tom

Your chances of getting the shareholder OBC applied to a $100 room + $100 OBC casino rate (so a "free cruise") cannot be represented by a real number. Thirteen day April transatlantic in a balcony cabin for $100pp and $200 obc. I then submitted the info for the $100 shareholder credit and was approved. So now we have $300 in obc.
