blueskadoo Posted March 12, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2023 Hi all- my lovely husband is currently doing a solo cruise and has decided to stay on board for the following cruise. He booked it at Next Cruise while on board. My question is...does he need to do online check in for the second (new) cruise? Our email is getting bombarded with reminders and he said the people at guest services didn't seem to know anything about it when he asked what to do. So fellow cruisers, has anyone encountered this? Experiences appreciated. Thank you!
omeinv Posted March 12, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2023 He can skip it, but it’s not that hard to do it, so why not? If he chooses not to they’ll take care of it when he goes to the back to back meeting, which is usually done on the final sea day of the first cruise. jelayne Posted March 12, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2023 Takes less than 5 minutes to check in on app. The one time we didn’t we ended up having to go to Guest Services, stand in line and give them our passports to scan and credit card info. wrk2cruise Posted March 12, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2023 (edited) It helps if you do it. Otherwise you may have to go to GR to supply your credit card. As @jelayne says it doesn't take long and then it's all taken care of. If you are onboard and don't have internet I wouldn't worry about it. Edit: Well that was stupid, if your posting here you have internet. Also you can probably do checkin from the app even if you don't have a package. I blame it on the DST change last night! Alakegirl Posted March 12, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2023 Even if you do it, they may ask you to come to guest relations at some point to register your credit card. No big deal either way
davekathy Posted March 12, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2023 Agree. Nothing new and I always do the check in process for the second leg.
LeeW Posted March 12, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2023 If husband gets luggage tags on the day before turnaround and not a B2B letter he needs to talk to Guest Services. B2B procedures vary, but he needs to either pick up his new cruise card/In Transit Pass to visit town or meet at the designated place and be escorted off and back on the ship and pick up his new card then. Rare Jim_Iain Posted March 12, 2023 #8 Share Posted March 12, 2023 Checking in for the second or subsequent cruises is optional. It is not required as you will be processed as a group of other B2B's on turn around day. I usually check in and saves possibly 10 seconds as they don't have to take my picture and input a credit card.
