Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted March 13, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2023 Does Celebrity allow you to charge your slot play to your stateroom acct without a fee like Princess? Or do you have to put cash into the machine?
George C Posted March 13, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2023 Celebrity normally has a nice option for the casino, when you prebuy either casino ships or slots , you pay 50 and at the casino you get 55 in slot pay or chips.

This option is no longer available before any of our recent cruises. I will keep an eye out after getting on board but I think they have stopped doing this very good promotion.
39august Posted March 13, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2023 You can use your non refundable or refundable credit on your cabin booking for slots or tables in the casino.
Rare Fly and Sail Posted March 13, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2023 That depends on your casino status and cabin type. Generally, no, you will pay a fee. But if you have casino status or stay in a suite this will be waived.

I had that last several cruises including just a few months ago, but it isn’t on my cruise this week , I hope they bring it back.
LaCal Posted March 13, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 13, 2023 Off topic question How much OBC can you Pre-purchase for a cruise On the website it limits it to $200 Can you get up to $500 if you call in?

You can also transfer money from your onboard account to a table game, but you will be charged a percentage fee, unless your status provides for waiving the fee. Almost all the slot machines onboard have the ability for you to do this transfer right at the machine by tapping your seapass card and accessing your onboard account with a password. 4
dazey Posted March 13, 2023 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2023 Although no longer available, when you purchased the "$50 plus 10%"(up to $500) be aware that when you play any of that money(i.e. $50 + $5)) you do not earn credits. Casino Host said you received a bonus of 10% already.

MT_Sea_Cruisers Posted March 13, 2023 #12 Share Posted March 13, 2023 I wonder if it is a max of $250 per purchase. I have 7 transactions ranging in increments of $25 to $150 each, all totaling $450.

Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted March 13, 2023 Author #14 Share Posted March 13, 2023 I’m getting a mix of answers. I want to be able to put my Sea Pass card in and transfer money from my account directly to a slot machine like I do on Princess. One of you said that is possible. Have others been able to do this, too? Can you choose to put cash into the machine if they don’t let you transfer money to a slot machine directly from your account? I just want to avoid paying a fee. Thank you all for your input!
39august Posted March 13, 2023 #15 Share Posted March 13, 2023 Yes, you can. I don';t do slots, so can't tell you how. Last 2 cruises on Equinox, there was a sign at the cashier's desk with instructions on how to do this on slots.
Vagabond Knight Posted March 13, 2023 #16 Share Posted March 13, 2023 I just got off the Solstice nine days ago. I couldn't remember how to get money onto my Sea Pass card and so I had to ask an attendant (I was thinking I could do it at the slot machine, but "no dice."). 😁 Had to go up to the cashier window to do it. Don't know if there's a limit or not, as I only put $50 into my "bank." I'm not a big gambler. I played in 10-15 minute increments on four days and went home $420 to the good playing the quarter slots. 🤑

The older system, which my anecdotal evidence says is on the non-revolutionized ships, is that you ask the cashier to transfer some multiple of 50.00 (today someone told me on the Infinity it's 5 - I'll see tonight). You get a ticket for 50.00, which you can put in a slot machine, play, and then cash out for a redemption ticket, which you can give to the cashier and get cash (or keep playing with it - my sister ran down to about 4.00 before cashing in last cruise). I think you have to actually put it in a machine, and not just walk back to the cashier with the slip they gave you. On the revolutionized ships you can load the machine directly from your card.

Yes, that is the more detailed version of what I did on the Solstice recently. The money amount went onto a slip that I put into the slot machine in order for it to go to my "bank." When I hit $108.50 within 10 minutes, I cashed out, took my slip to the cashier and got the green stuff, totally stoked to be up a whopping $58 (like, I said, not much of a gambler). The following days I just put cash into the machines because I wasn't going to gamble much..
