There were about 20 people there and 2 couples dancing. Bring back Lincoln Center Stage!! I never saw any one dancing at the Lincoln Center stage.

Rare Vict0riann Posted April 7, 2023 Author #303 Share Posted April 7, 2023 Dinner last night was just the two of us in Club Orange. We had a kir royale before, in the Ocean Bar, and chatted with Khay, who is having a busy time with all the visitors on board. Club Orange didn’t seem too busy when we are, about 6:30, but filled up by the time we finished eating. Our new manager , Wayan, gave us a nice corner table, when we could watch all the comings and goings. I had the fresh haddock and Pat had the Polish galumpki, the fish was lovely and it was really fresh, the lady at the next table said it was just brought on that morning. I am a bad “Live Frommer”, though , I always forget to take a picture of the starter! Dessert, rhubarb crisp and the cheese platter, there were crackers, but I had to ask for them! 19

Rare Vict0riann Posted April 7, 2023 Author #305 Share Posted April 7, 2023 Mass was at 8 this morning, and didn’t end until almost 9. So we had a late breakfast in the lido for the first time. It seems to be mainly self-serve, except for things that have to be cooked. So I helped myself to my favourite smoked salmon and pecan pastry. And the coffee was good and hot.
Rare Vict0riann Posted April 7, 2023 Author #306 Share Posted April 7, 2023 After breakfast we went to the Crow’s Nest for a cappuccino and to have a look at the historic display that has been set up there. Lots of pictures and memorabilia. My pictures aren’t great because of the reflections, but you get the idea. 17

So far, we haven’t seen any additional charge for the tax. We’ve had just a few drinks while in New York waters. Maybe HAL is treating us. I’ll check with others who don’t have HIA , and see how it’s being handled for them.

Karlyne (sp) is very experienced and loves what she does. It shows! We’ve sailed a few times with her. She has handled some challenging situations very gracefully.
AV8rix Posted April 7, 2023 #316 Share Posted April 7, 2023 I see y'all are about ready to go now! Have a great crossing, Ann and Pat @Vict0riann, and John @jthek, and all! Hope yours is as good as mine was on the October 150th in the opposite direction. 1
Rare Oceansaway17 Posted April 7, 2023 #317 Share Posted April 7, 2023 have a great crossing. Tony from La Lido Loca You Tube channel is on board. He is a tall big guy and friendly. I will watch PTZ as the ship leaves. Glad I found out and did not stay up to watch the 3:30 am arrival. I saw the ship was very slow coming and then I found out why. Hope the person is okay.

A quick question - with the included beverage package can you simply pay the difference if you order wine that is over the allowed $11? Have an amazing cruise ! Bon Voyage! Yes that can give someone a heart attack. I was on the Anthem of the Seas in 2021 and we had a helicopter at night (8pm) in high winds take someone off. A video is on You Tube as this was a risky at best.
Rare Vict0riann Posted April 7, 2023 Author #322 Share Posted April 7, 2023 (edited) We’re still here. View from the bow cam. The bow is going to be open, but it’s chilly out there. I think we might just watch and listen from the comfort of our room! Edited April 7, 2023 by Vict0riann

Rare Vict0riann Posted April 7, 2023 Author #324 Share Posted April 7, 2023 (edited) A while ago they were asking urgently for a passenger to report in. Hope he did so, and that’s not what we’re waiting for. yes I’m wondering about the rocking, too. I don’t mind a bit of the motion of the ocean, but I really don’t want to fall down.
