Around 6pm we head over to CVS to pick up some supplies and snacks. We wanted to go play Pirate Golf, but the place was packed, so instead we decided to go to Hooters for dinner…..

We decided to go back to the room for the night and watch some television. On the way back we passed Icon Park just as the sun was going down…..

Percy Crews is my absolute favorite comic they have on Carnival. We saw him well over 10 years ago and I didn't realize he was still doing shows on the ships! Fingers crossed that we have him on our October Sunshine cruise!

Post Cruise  -  (4/24/23)  -  A day at Disney Springs. 

 

We were up at 7am to a partly cloudy warm day. We weren’t hungry for breakfast, so we just hung out until 9:30am when we began to make our way over to Disney Springs……

 

 

 

 

Disney Springs is so easy to get in and out of. We always park in the Orange Garage. Just follow the signs…..

 

 

This sign tells you how many parking spaces are left on each level, including the handicap spaces. We always park on Level 2…..

 

 

Hope we can find a space…..

 

 

We begin exploring Disney Springs. We come here every time we spend time in Orlando. Patti is a Disney girl at heart. We would come down here every other year with the boys and stay on site. We don’t need to do the parks anymore, so just coming here is fine. If you watch closely, every once in a while, I wander into Patti’s pictures…..

Prior to Covid you could take a boat to different locations in Disney Springs. Now, the boats only operate from the Marketplace, and only to the local on-site hotels…..

 

 

 

There is always a line of people waiting to get into Gideon’s Bakehouse. There isn’t a doughnut, cake, or pie in the world that would make me wait in that line!

 

 

 

That’s the end of the line…..

No kidding!  Had the bright idea to take my daughter in law and 2 granddaughters last December and I spent at least $5000 without airfare.  My recent 2 weeks on Celebration with airfare was $2200.  Great memories though!

 

Loved Disney Springs.  Got some great fries at one of the little stands and found a vegan bakery where we could get egg free donuts which are hard to find.

Ughhhh we were in Orlando for 6 hours after our cruise until our flight. We had rented a car and this is where I wanted to go but husband talked me out of it because it was so hot. We ended up staying in A/C touring a few museums and having lunch.... 🥱

I'm glad you stopped in at Starbucks. The reason I say this, whatever you bought, at least a tad of it will go to my retirement. 🙂 I worked for the corporate office here in KC, MO for many years as a receptionist for 300 people. The company also owns Borden, Frito-Lay, etc. too.

If it was the weekend you made the right choice. We'll never go on the weekends. Those empty parking spaces I showed you earlier will be all filled up! 😎
