Those who book with Casino offers...

Not sure if this is common knowledge but I wanted to share anyways.

I booked a wonderful promo for Vista NYE.  Balcony for 2, 1k Casino Cash, $250 OBC. Free Drinks for just me anywhere on ship.

Since I booked that, my partner and I have travelled twice on Carnival so he is getting much better promotions now.  Every other time, I get the free drinks and he buys the package once on board.  We have to go to guest svcs since the bar can't do it and he can't buy it via discount before hand as it wants both of us to purchase.

So I decided to email the casino.  I asked about him getting his own new offers and if they can apply drinks etc.

They came back with not only free drinks for him anywhere on board but also $500 Casino cash.

So basically we just saved quite a bit of money!! When in doubt - ask!!

My pvp told me when we book a cruise under one persons name we should do a mock booking under the other persons name showing what benefits they are offered on that same cruise. Once we are on the cruise go to the casino and ask them to honor the offer. Nine times out of ten they’ll honor the offer. So I get OBC, casino free play credits, free drinks anywhere on the ship and other cool stuff even when I didn’t book under my name.

Thanks for posting this! Hubs and I are booked on an Elite cruise in July (free suite, $2500 free play, $200 OBC) from one of my offers, but he receives a lot of his own offers. This post just reminded me to email the casino department to see if he'll get any additional free play. Thanks again!

My pvp checks everyone on my booking for offers. For my January cruise I get casino cash, obc and free drinks everywhere.  My dd will be getting casino cash (not as much as me) and free drinks while playing in the casino.  Very happy with that.

I had a PVP for years who left and the replacement was horrible so I book on my own. I think it's time to find a new great one since cruise a lot more now.  If anyone has a great one to recommend, I would love their info!

We are unable to recommend TAs or PVPs on this site.

Here's a different question for casino people;

Anyone ever ask the Carnival Ocean Players Club people if they can rate (or refer) your play for cruises on other Carnival owned lines, like Princess or Holland?

I submitted a similar question to OPC a couple of months ago (asking about a sailing we have booked on the Rotterdam). So far, no reply... If you hear anything, let me know!

I last contacted them in early February. I received an immediate reply that my ticket was being closed as my cruise was too far in the future for them to bother with.

My wife must have got routed into a different queue, as she got a reply about a month later with the information we requested.

To put it mildly, I am less than gruntled with the current state of Carnival's (and the Ocean Player's Club) customer service.

Checkout this site/ company URComped. You register and send them your Carnival casino offers and any other land offers you may have and they will send you casino offers for other lines. Not just Carnival owned but many others. Definitely worth you checking out!

I'm interested in hearing more about this as well. I'm looking at Princess cruises, and you'd think since they are owned by Carnival, that I could get some kind of credit or comps based on my current level.

For years I've wondered why Carnival does not encourage people to move within their brand (typically, "up").

We had enough sailings with Celebrity (owned by Royal) that we were granted Diamond status with Royal when we sailed them the next time. They also give credit in the other direction (Royal>Celebrity). For us to have almost no history with Royal, but be "granted" Diamond status was a nice touch.... good for a few free drinks every day, among other perks.

I don't see why Carnival won't offer something to their loyal cruisers - to help keep them under the same corporate umbrella. Otherwise, those guests might dip their toes somewhere else (where they also receive no reciprocity) and find that they like it, and start to drift away from Carnival.

Again, I just don't get it...

Different corporate culture I guess.

Head-in-sand if you ask me !

I agree, and I don't know anything about Princess or HAL's loyalty programs but CCL's isn't really anything to get excited over by and large, so probably not enough to sway most people anyway.

Yeah I dont get it when I see post from people that have cruised Carnival 7 to 8 times and won’t try a different cruise line because they want to make Platinum.

LOL....YA...NO YOU WON'T GET ANY OFFERS

Maybe I should up my game and throw in another $10 per week.🤪

The only reason we gamble at all is to use the $25 free play Carnival gives us. Not very lucky at gambling plus I have short arms and deep pockets.🙂
