Thanks, have a great cruise!

Since 2003, we're always have done this and have been successful! Thanks. We do Reserve Class on all our cruises and have never found the need to request a permanent table because there is always plenty of good ones available. I am not sure if wait staff would do that because if someone wanted a window table and they said it was reserved then that would open a whole can of worms for the staff. We have never seen them reserve individual tables in Reserve Class.

We have never seen them reserve individual tables in Reserve Class. We always prefer to have the same staff at dinner; they would know our dining preferences; what I can eat, what I can't eat and, it just makes for a great one-on-one situation. You get to know the staff and they get to know you. If we can't reserve the same table each night, then it's off to the MDR which is no biggy; we've done that for all of our cruises and it was great!

I believe timing also plays an important role if you want the same table every night, or at least be in the section with your same servers. For us we always dine early, usually when the Reserve Dining Room opens, and there is absolutely no problem getting our same "non window" table for 2. However, if we were to show up between 6:30 - 7 pm when a lot of other folks do, we may not be so lucky. 2

The idea of Reserve Class is that the tables are reserved for everyone in that category. Usually there is never a problem and you almost always will have the same staff every night if you want and pretty much same table but it is not guaranteed. It just depends when you get there. They will know your preferences believe me. But if others want a window seat that you think is yours they will not hesitate to allow them to sit there. However, we have never had a trouble getting any table we wanted in Reserve Class if it was not being occupied.

After 54 cruises there are not too many shows we haven’t seen

Sorry but it's hard for me to keep all these changes straight in my head Here’s is the link to their various dining options. However, I don’t believe there is early and late fixed seating anymore in the MDRs. Instead you can either make your MDR reservations in advance through the App or just show up and wait in line to be seated. With the Reserve Collection Dining, there are no reservations accepted or required. However, it’s pretty easy to develop a bond with the Reserve Dining host to be seated at the same table or in the same area with the same servers at all seatings, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/dine-my-way/

So many complained that they would never accept anything other than Traditional Dining. If that cruise line did not offer Traditional Dinning they would not cruise that line again. LOL Now you are paying extra for Reserve. LOL REGARDLESS, HAPPY CRUISING! Enjoy it, it is your choice! We are easily able to replicate the traditional dining experience by making reservations ahead of time for the same dining room and time every night. We are given the same table and waitstaff every night this way. I do think Reserve might be nice to avoid the waits at breakfast and lunch though!
