Carnival Casino bookings... What is the final cruise price you pay including losses... ?

The proof is in the pudding. Carnival wouldn't do it if it didn't make them $$$. I come from a gambling state, even a gambling town, Laughlin (10-12 casinos). Same goes for the "drown your brain in alcohol" drinking packages. I love it. Makes my cruise just that much cheaper. Thank you, fools.

If you play a casino game, like BJ or video poker, with a low house edge;  and you use your carnival card to get 3% back..it’s not too bad of a deal

as said on this site:

https://oceanplayersclub.com/promotions/#:~:text=Every time you try your, experience not to be missed.
If you earn 7500 points on nothing but the best video poker they offer (4% house edge) you’re only losing $940 per cruise if you take advantage of the 3% cashback perk of the carnival Mastercard.

this isn’t TOO bad if you maximize it by taking Alaska cruises and you drink. (As you’d like get balconies and DOUeverywhere)

but grinding out $37,500 coin-in on low-edge video poker on a cruise..is no one’s idea of “fun”.

I checked with executive casino host Noma about that and she let me know that website isn’t correct. She advised me the logo isn’t the correct one and even as a host they don’t know the secret formula. I thought I cracked the code as well, lol.

I’ll give you a datapoint. Not a Carnival cruiser but got a casino offer from a status match in 9/2022 for balcony room, drinks for two while playing and $250 casino money. My options were extremely wide open with approximately 280 cruises up to 30 days in length. I booked a 14 day Alaska cruise for 9/2023.

I earned 6128 points playing slots and 819 points playing table games. Cruise ended on 9/24 and on 10/13 I received a Carnival Players club email offer for 3 balcony, 3 ocean view and 3 interior rooms. All are free ($100 deposit x2 people converted to a $200 on board credit at booking), drinks for 2 while playing in the casino and the interior room included $200 in fun play. Must be booked by 10/31/2023 and options went from over 500 when I received the email to 250 after 24 hours and 58 by 36 hours so I’m guessing a lot of people got an email on the same date.

You still pay the taxes, fees, gratuity etc like everyone else. I definitely lost a good amount of money earning almost 7K points (hadn’t looked maybe spent $4.5K) but I never gamble so for me it was a test to determine if I would want to do it again in the future and to see what kind of offers I’d get. Now I (and you) know and can plan accordingly. Good luck cause those machines are the tightest I’ve ever seen!

Hi.

Are there land based casinos that partner with Carnival that I should call

to see if we can get any discounts. We frequent AC.

Thank you.

I think they work closely with Caesars but I am not sure if there are others.

One and only sailing on Carnival, booked via a casino offer.  Costs below for an 8 night on Venezia.  I keep very detailed records of our gambling.  VERY detailed, we came out up 752 for the cruise.  No jackpots or handpays, but 2 of the nights we came out significantly ahead.  We have booked 2 more Carnival sailings from offers as well, one oceanview on Vista (8 night) and one on Venezia (10 night), both with 200 onboard credit.  Our budget is 140 each per night that we gamble on slots (on this cruise we gambled 5 of the nights, for maybe 2.5 hours).  On RCCL we have cruised 5 times, 4 of the trips we ended up down (highest loss was a little over 600) and 2 of the trips we came away up (one of them over 1100).  When I total the 5 cruises with RCCL and the 1 with Carnival we are slightly down (just over 800 in total).  I could share a detailed breakdown per night if need be.  There is ABSOLUTELY no doubt that in the long run we will lose on slots however when we factor RCCL/Carnival comp rates we find them significantly better than land based casinos we use.  I have equally detailed records of all of our Vegas trips (currently at 11).  We haven't fared as well in Vegas.

It wasn't the points that trigger offers.  How you paid your sail and sign account with what credit card could matter.  All your offers are common casino offers.

Carnival doesn't work with land based casinos but some land based casinos offer cruises Carnival.  Google Carnival Fun Match or Brian Cristopher Fun Match to see about entering your best land casino players card

good distinction....yes, I get cruise offers for Carnival thru Bally's and Resorts, but no I don't know if a "partnership" which offers discounts, similar to Caesars discounts (based on card tier) with NCL
