Glad to have you aboard! We still have a long, long way to go. Patti said that she bought that hoodie for Ryan at one of the surf shops in Ft. Lauderdale earlier this year. She doesn't remember the brand name.

After we left Bonsai Teppanyaki we made our way over to the Piazza San Marco for the Captain’s Venetian Toast. The Playlist Cast started it off with a stirring version on “Nessun Dorma”, accompanied by the Quora String Trio. It was very moving……

After the toast, Patti went back to the cabin to watch a movie. I went over to the Amari Bar to see our friend Zora….

 

 

 

While I was there I met Cruise Critic member Rhonda (rwest898). It was a pleasure talking to you! We’ll see Rhonda again, along with her husband Keith, later on in the review…..

 

 

I made my way over to the Limelight Lounge for JeROME’s (R-18+) comedy show…..

 

 

Comedy Club host Mathew (with one “T”) gets the show started…..

 

 

 

I enjoyed JeROME’s performance. I would give him an 8 out of 10…..

 

 

 

 

After the show I made my way back to the cabin for the night.

I am really quite enjoying your cruise vicariously through you!

 

I had asked earlier about the lack of pool in the Havana-esque Terrazza Carnevale area, since that was an option for a possible future sailing.

 

But we've decided to take a break from cruising (at least the big annual cruise we try to do) for a couple of years and instead will be traveling abroad to see other parts of the world for our big trips.

 

So threads like this are vital for still being able to experience some element of the fun, even if indirectly!  Thanks for all you do in threads like this!

I known what you mean.  The more we cruise, the less we eat in the MDR and we haven't cruised as much as you!  It's just become more of a hassel and so simple to go to the buffet.  We're cruising with my son and his family this May.  They are newbies and keep talking about the MDR.  I guess we'll be eating there more this cruise.

Were there many kids on this cruise? I'm assuming not with the length of the cruise. How well attended was the Build-A-Bear workshop on this cruise? It was insane on our Sunshine cruise over fall break with all the kids being out of school. We got there 30 minutes early and were still 24th in line. I saw at one point, they were up to number 110+ being handed out to the line that was still forming outside of the lounge! Crazy!

There were very few kids but a lot of Grandma's and Grandpa's! 😁

We had Edy on our last cruise and I have to wholeheartedly agree with your assessment.  We didn't even see him until the 4th day of our cruise, and that was because we ran into him in the hallway.

Joey the CD publicly announced the numbers at least a couple of times during the cruise as around 3,978 total of which only 118 of those were under 18. Late during the second week that number was announced as 112 which I am thinking might have come from crew members from St. Lucia who had families on board who debarked there. This was the inaugural visit to St. Lucia of the Carnival Venezia and a ceremony was held at the port which can be seen in this video(sorry Jeff if I am jumping ahead on your review here but I thought it was a good time to post this and it will make people even more interested to see and read your posts on that stop)...Rob
