LB_NJ Posted November 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2023 Do the move-up bid ranges for the various cabin types change as you get closer to the sailing date?
tschwa2 Posted November 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2023 Mine hasn't and for some reason mine are really high for most categories. I have a V2 cabin and if I wanted to bid for for aquaclass the minimum bid is $750 per person. If I wanted to bid for a sky suite it would be minumum $1400 per person. Rare CruisinShips Posted November 1, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2023 (edited) Speaking of move-up bids, is it consistent that they become available (for bidding) exactly 90 days prior to embarkation date? They did for my cruise but it may depend on the cruise
sdrobin Posted November 1, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 1, 2023 Regarding the Move Up Bid. My husband received the email yesterday and we called our TA to check availability and all categories are sold out. Is this an automatic email that is sent regardless of the inventory? Rare 81Zoomie Posted November 1, 2023 #7 Share Posted November 1, 2023 On one cruise I noticed it was cheaper to choose to pay for a guarantee cabin in a higher category than to place a bid on Move Up.
Rare Mrs_Tiki Posted November 1, 2023 #8 Share Posted November 1, 2023 The only thing that I have found to be consistent about the whole move-up process is its inconsistency.

But then sadly people will complain when they get their guarantee and it is not a cabin that they want, or a location that they don’t want. Rare Jim_Iain Posted November 1, 2023 #10 Share Posted November 1, 2023 There was a tread on this exact question about a two week ago. I've seen it happen but rare you can read mine and others responses.
Rare NutsAboutGolf Posted November 1, 2023 #11 Share Posted November 1, 2023 Short answer, yes they CAN. One thing to keep in mind is that many place their bid and never check the site again to even see the bidding amounts increase, decrease, or stay the same. dreamer321 Posted November 1, 2023 #13 Share Posted November 1, 2023 I've been tracking Move Up prices for my 12/3 cruise on Reflection. Despite over 200 cabins and Suites still available on the website my Move Up prices haven't budged an inch.

I haven't seen the Max go up but in my case I have seen the Max go down below what I had originally bid and if I had not looked would have paid far more than what I did for an upgrade. Recently the Minimums have on some cruises been obscene and you could purchase the room on the open market cheaper.

Yes although I have no clue how common increases are. On some ships, guessing E-Class only, they use different MoveUp software where you could instantly be told you won't win, and increase your bid
Rare foodsvcmgr Posted November 2, 2023 #16 Share Posted November 2, 2023 Is there a typical range or percentage above the minimum that tends to get upgraded?
